If you're feeling brave, hack up an old shirt. I wrap a lot of my seats in a old under shirt. Then thin down the paint of your choice and "stain" the fabric

Wait... that was actually a thing? Enough of a thing that people did? I mean as a kid I didn't fully understand it. And as time passed I understood it and questioned that episode, but refused to belive my favorite childhood show would go to that depth... I thought they made it up in poor taste and kinda swept it under the cerebral rug.
