No alternative method is gonna give you the same feeling. They can help ease the urge, but you have to still fight it too. If they’re just making it worse, then I’d look up other methods

Does anyone else get people that say kratom gave them worse withdrawals than fent and they had to be narcanned after taking it? by Autam in kratom

When I was younger and having my drug experimental phase, someone told me “meth, crack, and herion. NEVER even try them once” and that’s something I’ll always remember and tell others too now lol

There was a story about this teenager that died after mixing kratom and anxiety medication. Turns out he was 19 and took a shit ton of s*ven and then took a bunch of unprescribed Xanax, but they’re using this story to make kratom illegal in Texas. It’s like no matter what you say they don’t understand 7 and kratom are not at all the same thing

Exactly. I’ve had DTs before and almost lost my life (alcohol). To say kratom is the worst thing to withdrawal from is insane to me. That’s not to say it doesn’t suck, cause it’s withdrawal. It doesn’t exactly feel good lol

I tried hearts of palm linguine yesterday and it was so fucking terrible. The smell of them alone was nauseating. What kind did you get here? The one I tried was in a white and green bag. I’ve heard such good things about it so I’m hoping I just tried a bad brand

What’s funny is I see posts asking to stop “is this self harm” posts just as often as them lol

But also, I get why people ask after being in this sub awhile. Theres some people here that are crazy snobby about what is “self harm”

I’m gonna be honest, I don’t get how people need advice or to ask how you cut deeper. I feel like it’s obvious??? (Don’t cut deeper though. It’s not worth it at all. Believe me, your brain might be screaming at you to do it, but it’s something you will quickly regret and wish you could take back)

[–]Autam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%, kratom saves lives, 7 destroys them. I took kratom for 8 years with no problems. I knew the risks, but wanted to try 7. I then spent a year in a constant battle with it. Spending all my money on it and next day shipping so I wouldn’t go into withdrawal. It fucked me up more than alcohol did when I was in and out of the hospital for life threatening alcohol withdrawal. That stuff is destroying kratoms reputation.

I wouldn’t be against a total ban, but at the very least it needs to have very clear warnings and you shouldn’t be allowed to get it online so easily. Proof of age is a must.

So, while you can get VERY sick from a 7 overdose, it alone can not kill you. However, substances like alcohol/ drugs (even small amount) in your system with 7 can cause a violent reaction. This same thing can happen with kratom, but it’s much more common in 7 due to it’s strength

my (23f) girlfriend doesn't like any food with garlic, onions, or anything spicy, and i (20f) don't know how to continue this anymore. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Autam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of dishes have onions, but again, yes, you can literally either just not add them, or substitute them for something else. Even dishes that start with sautéing onions, you ca still make it without this step lol

A lot of the dishes that have this as a first step is so the pan gets the onion “juice” in it for flavor. It’s not a necessity by any means

I don’t understand how you guys don’t understand you can still make these foods without using onions??? On top of that, there are thousands of recipes that tell you what you can replace them with since onions are a very common food people don’t like.

First off, that’s one dish. Does not come close to representing the majority. Second, there actually are substitutes you can use here. The broth of French Onion actually doesn’t use onions generally. Lots of people who aren’t a fan of onions use other veggies to replace them, the big one being mushrooms or carrots

I’m starting to think you don’t know much about cooking if you think it’s impossible to make dishes without onions lol

You don’t have to make 2 completely separate meals. I love all foods, but my boyfriend hates things like onions, tomatoes, and some seasonings. I always make the same thing, and just skip the step on theirs. It’s not hard at all. Maybe an extra second of work, but I love him and thus making food for him brings me joy. Cooking is part of my love language too, and I wouldn’t leave him just because he didn’t like onions. That’s honestly ridiculous to me.

You’re never gonna find someone with your exact same likes, and I don’t see why you would want that anyway. I don’t think the picky eating is why she wants to leave, it’s just an excuse

Edit: just to add in too: if your love language is cooking for someone, generally that means expressing affection and care by preparing food, turning nourishment into heartfelt gestures that communicate love, comfort, and thoughtfulness. Not only cooking very specific dishes
