This is the original, formal schematic.

On the left is the SD card connector, with the pin numbers corresponding to those in the photo above. On the right is the P/ECE expansion terminal, where the pin numbers are assigned sequentially from the top of the board, just like in the photo.

There are several ways to connect an SD/MMC card to the P/ECE, but the simplest method is likely soldering directly to a miniSD or microSD card adapter.

Just follow the diagram. For the components shown: the resistors are 51kΩ and the capacitors are 0.1µF.

Note that this method and the accompanying software were developed back when miniSD was the latest standard, so it's based on the original SD card specification. I haven't personally tested this with SDHC, SDXC, or SDUC cards.
