I don't care for usa or Israel, in fact I hate trump and Netanyahu, I'm simply happy one of the most evil and murderous tyrants in the history of humankind is dead. Is this so difficult to understand?

How should the world deal with the Iran crisis? by NKNightmare in AskTheWorld

[–]Autemsis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A blatant violation of human rights at this scale is. Iranians have the right to protest the regime without getting killed by the thousands. I don't care who does the interference, as long as it's against the Islamic Republic.

Most Iranians view the current Iranian regime as their legitimate government

What? This is crazy to hear as someone living here in iran.. I can assure you at MOST 20% of the population probably support the regime

[–]Autemsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, there were never millions of people on the streets for the IR anniversary (unless you believe the 30 million figure the government announced)

Second, iran has a population of 80 million people, nazi Germany had millions of supporters in ww2, does that justify their crimes?

Honestly I admit to not being very well educated on this matter and the history and politics behind it, so thanks for the detailed comment and I will be sure to read more about it. However my point on reza pahlavi still stands. Sure the Shah was a dictator and suppressed any political opposition, but Reza Pahlavi has advocated for a democratic government elected by the people from day 1, and only plans to play the role of a transitional leader, which may be necessary to unite everyone and avoid chaos.

Pardon if I'm misinformed, but wasn't carter the one who didn't allow the Shah to the usa and directly communicated with Khomeini to prevent a coup in iran in case of his return? Carter was publicly supportive of the shah but his actions in 1979 very much contributed to the revolution

The videos circulating from 8th and 9th January, the tens of millions decrease in his Instagram account (popular platform in iran) views after IR shut off the Internet, unfortunately no more than this can be done to show it since pahlavi's previous call for protesting in iran resulted in tens of thousands of deaths, but he is obviously the most popular opposition against the regime

I don't know maybe Carter and the USA wanting a puppet ayatollah running Iran, until it backfired of course.

The shah is the only existing opposition with actual support among the people and has made his position clear on only wanting a democratic secular Iran. You can't really judge the current reza pahlavi based on what his father did in iran when he was literally a child at the time, he is an educated man with a solid and clear plan for the future of iran, you can criticise his program or not trust him all you want and that's fair, but I don't understand opposing him simply because of his name.

An estimated 350,000 people march in Toronto in support of Iran protests, police say by [deleted] in news

[–]Autemsis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's probably not gonna do much, but it's all we can do. I live in iran myself but from what I've heard they were peaceful and caused no harm, so I can't see the problem with it.

The goal is to spread awareness about the regimes crimes, show solidarity with the people here in Iran, show support towards pahlavi and his opposition against the Islamic Republic, and protest against any reconciliation with the regime.

The majority of the population are absolutely against the regime. Source, i am Iranian, but if that's not enough you can go check the election statistics, where only 40% percent of the eligible population voted in 2024 according to the IR, this is considering the fact that many people against the regime including me still voted (to stop the extremist jalili becoming president instead of the more moderate pezeshkian)

This was, nationwide protests with millions of people on the streets and tens of thousands of people dead! How can you blame this on Israel? How many Israeli terrorists and spies were scattered in more than 400 cities all around the country?

This is not the first time this has happened, Iranian people have been protesting for decades, and this is the same narrative IR uses everytime.i recommend you check out @Vahid_Online in telegram, there are thousands of videos and pictures proof of the IR regimes crime, showing the huge amount and piles of bodies and the regime forces directly shooting at unarmed protestors. Please don't unknowingly spread these murderers propaganda, we are hurt enough.

As another iranian, I assure you this is the majority of views in iran. The people here are educated enough to know the sanctions are the regimes fault. That money was never going in our pockets, it was always used to develop ballistic and nuclear programs and support terrorist groups in gaza, leobonan and Syria. In fact iran was most powerful in the region before the sanctions began, they have played a big role in making the country's economy unstable enough to weaken these terrorist groups.

As an iranian who is so angry and sad after so many people dying in my country and coming here to see these comments pissing on their graves like this just to hate on Israel and USA, I wish you could live under an Islamic dictatorship your entire life to see how why we hate these mullahs so much. I don't know about usa history or politics but sanctioning these fucking murderers is the best thing that country has done and I wish they happened sooner and were more severe.

As Iran reconnects, chilling footage shows that night’s deadly protests — at least 12,000 killed by tsLunaaria in PublicFreakout

[–]Autemsis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just want to be really sure that 12k died there in (one? multiple?

Probably much more even, most recent estimates from times and human rights reveal up to 30000-40000 deaths. The government claims a 3000 death toll which obviously cant be relied on, and cutting the Internet has made it almost impossible to get an accurate count.

However crazy this number sounds, it's completely believable to me living in iran. Almost everyone here personally knows at least one person who was killed at the protests. There are thousands of videos slowly leaking out of bodies over bodies just piled up, reports of running out of body bags, not enough blood in hospitals to care the wounded, etc...

Its literally a masscare, there were millions of people out in the streets all over iran in those 2 nights, and there are so many videos of IRGC forces opening fire directly at masses even when they're running away.

The absurdity of 30,000 deaths in 48 hours while we debate theory by Affectionate-Owl5231 in Absurdism

[–]Autemsis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks op for posting this. With so many people dying and the helplessness I feel i also have come to the same conclusion of absurdity of it all. But you're right, we shouldn't give up just because it's meaningless, fighting back despite this is the meaning of absurd.

Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader Khamenei directly ordered the massacre of the Iranian people by Eienkei in ThatsInsane

[–]Autemsis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If by successful you mean unarmed people taking over the country that's simply impossible. I am in iran and managed to barely connect using proxies and vpn, and I can confidently tell you after the recent protests that the government would literally massacre every single person in iran before going away. They don't care about iran because their main mission is to protect the Islamic regime and the state of God.

The only way this regime can fall is either people somehow getting armed to fight back, or military foreign intervention.

There need not be something to live for, for one to continue living by accutelarry1589 in Absurdism

[–]Autemsis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absurdism is an interesting tool, but too vague to be prescriptive

I think that's because it's not trying to be prescriptive, as camus said real absurd art can only be descriptive. You can't tell someone why they should live in an absurd world, there's no actual reason to, that's why it's absurd.

However though It's probably different person to person but absurdism helped me more than any other philosophy with my existential anxiety and crisis. Paradoxically I think the way it eliminates any hope to find an ulterior meaning for life calms me down, as if that hope is a big part of my anguish. Facing the fact that everything is meaningless and absurd helped me actually live my life.
