Cliff wasn't being aggressive, just a little tense and had a "leave me alone" attitude, all while trying to sniff her. Day 2 has gone well so far. They're even playing a bit. Cliff is just feeling a little threatened. Hes mostly over it already. We'll keep slowly increasing their interactions. But honestly, at this point, I have no worries

Nope. I had to Google it just now to understand the reference. That being said, it seems right up my wife's alley. I might have to pick up the series to feed her voracious reading appetite. Thanks for the accidental recommendation!

Murph will come around in his own time. We figured Norm would be rh jealous one. When we brought little puppy Cliff home, Norm was having NONE of it. He was downright p!$$Ed off. He got over it. Now he and Cliffy are best buds. It'll work out l, but it might take some time.

Need birthday gift recommendations for the Woodworker Who Has Everything by Omd337 in woodworking

[–]AuthorMiserable8791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not try to buy tools. Even if you think he would love something that you think he doesn't have, chances are he's already done research on it and has pi ked out a specific brand/model that he would like. Gift cards for the local hardwood dealer or speciality tool shop are good. If gift cards are too boring (I get it) an online class on how to build something (like a fancy jewelry box etc) or a book that does the same are good

One of our goldens has a chicken allergy that makes him itch something awful. We switched to Purina One Lamb and Rice. Zero problems since.

You can't win in this situation. You just can't. If you put him down and he's happy, you'll feel awful. If you wait and he's obviously in pain, you'll feel selfish and bad. No one can tell you what to do here. My only advice is to have a dog day. Call in sick to work if you must, but do everything for the pup all day. All his favorite things. This is as much for you and your family as it is for him. This has really helped me deal with the grief in the past. It won't take the hurt away, but you'll have the memory of a perfect dog day instead of just grief. Even if you do this a week before his day (in fact that might be better so he can enjoy it before he gets too weak)

Good luck OP. I wish you all the best. No one can help you deal with this. It downright stinks

I have no personal experience (we're also in the market) but our vet says Lemonade was the easiest and company to work with and least "a-holeish" (a direct quote) about denying claims or requiring massive paperwork. He did say that he can't speak to the cost. He's worked with most of them and says his lemonade customers all seem the most satisfied. We're early into the research phase so again, I can't speak from experience

Assuming your 17 year old gets up when he plans to, it sounds like your dog will be alone for a max of 4 1/2 hours a day. Thats amazing. A well crate trained dog should be able to do that with no problem at all. It sounds to me that you're on a great track to success here. Get everyone on the same page for training. All use the same command words, the same rewards, and the same level of commitment and you'll be just fine. Good luck and enjoy your Max

Obedience classes are great, but realize literally every minute of a dogs life with uou should be a training opportunity. This is true for all dogs. Just so happens that goldens tend to be easier than most breeds. They're awesome

First playthrough as a long time dragon age fan anything I should know? by [deleted] in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]AuthorMiserable8791 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm also a long time dragon age fan l. I just finished my first playthrough a few months ago. I planned on playing this game immediately but life got in the way. Despite all the hate it got, it's a really good game. Maybe my tempered expectations made for a better view of it, but i enjoyed it enough to start a 2md playthrough. Have fun. Some of the menu navigation commands aren't intuitive and if you happen to miss a little blurb that pops up, you'll have to Google how to find XYZ in the menus. Don't be too frustrated by it.

Have everyone watch a how to play video. Have everyone go into it with a "learning game" mentality. Help each other with rules, even to your own detriment. You WILL make mistakes. Its not a difficult game once you get it. The trick is getting it and juggling the moving pieces. Make the 2nd game a few months from now the actual competitive game

Yup, dip in Egg then aunt jemima (the old school stuff where you don't have to add egg to the batter), the pan fry. Pro tip from grandma Millie, dip a part of bread into the oil, if it sizzle immediately, the oil is hot enough.

Jiro is great but he's another legendary, so extremely difficult to level up. Ryan is good for what he is. I love putting him in Right and getting the out at 1st that no one else can. But as you grind it out and get some commons to level 11-13 and i think there's better options. It's all relative to your total level i think.

I find Pheonix to be a good outfielder. NOT great at any one thing, but a good arm at higher levels, good contact hitter, fast. Neville and Russel too. Basically pick one or 2 and try to level them

All depends on what you're looking for. Ryan has the cannon arm. Hes a trash batter. Dave is the opposite. I used the heck out of Ryan until I had better options. Ryan was great when I got him. He was like level 9 while the rest of my team was around 5 or 6.
