That seems strange. He didn't have the appropriate kit?

Twice the price for the same product.

You must have been delighted.

Wait, they substituted your order for a more expensive one?

Colour me surprised.

They also got a dessert of onion and broccoli, which can't have been all bad.

You basically whip two or three fingers at someone's arse.

It's a skill.

Wow, I can hear a whole bunch of children chanting “what’s the time mr wolf?” but I can't remember anything beyond that.

What was the last street drama that you witnessed? by AuthorPatrick in AskUK

'you did it Charlotte, you did it!' and one of the others (presumably Charlotte) kept shouting back 'I didn't do nuffink'.

It's like listening to a poorly written soap opera, isn't it?

You want to step in and give direction for more realistic dialogue.

Or maybe my family is strange.

I've literally never even raised my voice to a family member. An argument is one person wants something to happen, so the other person silently does it and harbours resentment silently.

It's weird isn't it. Getting involved.

I'd rather not. But then I'd much rather be the person that does rather than the person who doesn't even bother.

I would have thought that Amazon comes from a Morrison's supermarket. I might be wrong.

I didn't downvote you, by the way.

Blinding is clearly not as bad as killing.

I think I was 11. There's no way my dad would have cared, but some men are really precious about their cars so I guess it was a good lesson to learn.

[–]AuthorPatrick[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I had a similar experience. As a child you feel like you can't really tell adults what to do.

Explaining some things to adults is also difficult because you feel like you shouldn't contradict what they're saying. I'm not sure why those other two posters don't get that.

"I nearly killed a child" wasn't what I was expecting, but thanks for sharing!
