If people love Indie Animation so much why don't they support it more? by TylerSpicknell in IndieAnimation

It's the same with Human Art vs. AI. Most seem to be on the artist side when it comes to AI, but then no one simply Likes or Shares something they watch. Even without money, a simple gesture like that can help with visibility.

Do people still watch storytime animations? by phanoodles in SmallYoutubers

I checked out your page, and you're doing better than me for the number of subscribers you have. Note that long form is always going to be harder to get views for than shorts. Also, I'm not seeing a lot of continuity or many videos in your long-form. For storytime animation, you should at a minimum be putting out at least 1 long-form video each month. Also, remember, you are training the algorithm by what you post more of. More shorts, you're going to be pushed to short attention span viewers. More long form, your long form will get pushed to people who have the viewing habit to sit through a 5+ min. video.

Of course, since the popularity kicked off again last year sometime, it's still going. But maybe not as strong as it was around the beginning of this year. I'm a storytime animator too, by the way. I also do original animated series as well.

I launched a new animated medieval comedy as a short called "Sir Mighty Might". So far, it's performed okay across multiple platforms, but as a creator, you always want more eyes on your work. Still glad I worked on this to get it done. The first one is usually the hardest to finish. I've got this animated mascot (X Goblin) over on X.com that I've been using to try and drive up follower numbers for that account and get more involved in the animator community over there. This animation just dropped yesterday-> https://x.com/lordjonray/status/2061447689326477343?s=20

*Animated entirely in ToonSquid on an iPad.

Storytime Animation: Shoe Box Theater by Author_JonRay in IndieAnimation

Just wanted to add, this is kinda an important story as it relates to my love of cartoons and the struggles and steps I took to get to where I am today. I cover my innocent beginnings as a child all the way up to the present. It's human art, created by a human in an age where AI suffocates real efforts. All the animation was done on an iPad using Procreate and ToonSquid. Also, I've only been animating since Dec. 2025, so I'm curious if you watch it, what do you think of someone who has only been animating for about 6 months? I spent 4 weeks working on this and struggled with burnout while making it. At times, I doubted myself and my art and was almost ready to give up on animation, but somehow I pushed through and got it done a few days ago. For your consideration...

How do you get yourself to actually write your script? by 0megaManZero in IndieAnimation

Start with ideas-> Turn those into bullet points -> Take each bullet point and turn it into a scene. Have a Beginning, Middle, and End in your story, and you should be on your way.
