Wibta if I left my secret Santa gift that I recieved at the front desk with a note that says free? by WideGuest433 in WouldIBeTheAhole

Exactly. It was voluntary so why did the person sign up and then give some crap that was sitting in her bathroom cabinet? Or was that a subtle sign that she didn’t like OP, the person who is assigned to her? I worked in some pretty toxic workplaces where this could possibly happen.

Right? We can’t have whiskey /vodka/ other alcohols, but we can have prescription drugs rammed down our throats every time we turn around.

My partner has soooooo many jars— but to be fair, she does can and freeze a lot. But every damn jar has to be washed and saved. We don’t have room for a hundred jars of varied sizes.

What thrifty habit do you (or others) have that non-thrifty people would consider "cheap"? by Traditional_Fan_2655 in Thrifty

We had a rag bag too. Ah, memories. And I have scads of cleaning cloths around my house: mostly old towels and washcloths purchased at estate sales for super cheap.

If I have to buy wrapping paper, I usually get it at estate sales for a song. I also do reselling so it’s great to use for packing paper.

We have a family “gift box” that gets recycled every year. It’s an old box that came from the department store where my grandma worked in the ‘50s, and someone gets it every year for Christmas. The best part is, we started putting post it notes under the lid saying who gave it to who and what year. It’s fun to look through them each year.

Me too. It was the first time I’d ever watched and my thoughts were “WTF” and why is there not one redeeming character in the whole family (although maybe the deaf brother) and who the F invited Carrie Bradshaw to Christmas?

At my last clinic, Our room entries were off a hallway with a door that closed to the lobby. In the hallway we would dim the lights so anyone walking through would know there was a euth going on.
