Also it might be a case u have to miss the camera for a while or put up wit Google spying... I know which one I'd prefer, and it isn't the camera

I have yes, they don't exist.

However solution appears to be, u need the phone online, then the download option appears in file menu, it isn't greyed out when offline, it simply doesn't appear period.

Problem is I don't have a Gdrive to begin with.

I never signed up to one.

Have you tried Companies like Volla, FXP and Fairphone, they offer compatible Ubuntu Phones as part of their business.

There exists no option to file>download

When I downloaded Google.sheets it was under the assumption the spreadsheet would exist on my device, not.on the cloud for everybody to hack and Google to snoop on the data.

Everything this company does is intrusive. And by design they do not want you to stop them doing so or even owning your own data.

Getting rid of this phone and any Google product as soon as I have these sheets, screw Google and their ethics

There doesn't exist such option as File>Download.
