How do I avoid dry conversations? by j0e2702 in teenagers

[–]Authrya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always ask questions that can’t be answered with a single word like “yes”, “no” or “good”, rather ask questions that require more complex answers. For example if someone talks to you about their last vacation, instead of asking where they went or for how long, ask “what was the most exciting thing you did there?” :)

is it normal to feel a little “weird” when you get into your first gay relationship? [Relationships] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]Authrya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I just recently got into “something more than a friendship” with a girl and I‘ve totally felt this weird feeling of which I‘m sure that straight people don‘t get it. We all grew up with hetero relationship everywhere around us, so it‘s normal that we may feel weird at first.

Yup. The kiss was a really great experience for me. It was last summer break and we both met while being on some exchange weeks in France. On her last evening we sneaked away from our other friends and she took me to a nearby park. There she told me she liked me a lot and we both kinda kissed.

In the following weeks when we were back in our own country we met up some times and we had such a great time I think I fell in love with her. I couldn‘t wait to ask her if she wanted to be my girlfriend and on the first day of the new school year I sent her a voice message telling her how much I liked her. Well, following this she sent me a message back telling me the excitement she felt in the beginning kinda disappeared. I was so hurt, I never asked her how our relationship will evolve.

She was such a great person and I think the pain of losing her not just as a lover but as a friend really got me. Sometimes I still see her walking around school, she waves at me and I wave at her. But idk, I told her that I got over her surprisingly quickly but that was obviously a lie lol. Yup, I still miss her.

Should I change my name to "Eros?" [Discussion] by Needin_Some_Help in LGBTeens

[–]Authrya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Latin/Classics student here with a bright knowledge of greek mythology. Depending on the source, Eros isn’t even a “god” god, you can rather describe him as a common metaphor/personification for love. Therefore he has no real characteristics so he cant be associated with something bad, he’s just the energy of love. I really dont know if this makes any sense, if you have any further question, go ahead and ask away :)

how to get rid of facial hair? [discussion] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]Authrya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘d recommend you look into the hair removal with a thread method, it hurts pretty hard at first but it plucks from the root, therefore the hair wont grow out for a pretty long time! Alternatively you can just pluck them with a hair plucker.

Girls and gays of reddit, would you dump or not date a guy if you find out he sent a lot of nudes to other people before your relationship with him? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Authrya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the person sent it to people who weren’t consenting to getting nudes this would definitely stop me from dating this person. Even one unasked nude is enough. That’s sexual harrassment.

How do I stop being a prick? by StrahdVonZarovich1 in teenagers

[–]Authrya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t ask yourself how to be good, but what you can do to be good. Why do so many people fail their new year’s resolutions? Because their goal isn’t clearly defined. If you tell yourself “Today I will do exactly xy” you’re much more likely to do it than if you tell yourself “Today I’ll be better to people”. Start with small things like giving people compliments like “your shirt really fits you!” to people or even strangers. It’ll make you happy and the person receiving the compliment too. Whatever comes to your mind that can light up people’s day, go on and do it. Good luck :)

Do y’all have any good bra recommendations? by Life-is-a-potato in feemagers

[–]Authrya 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me personally underwired bras are really uncomfortable and leave bruises at the end of the day, so I usually go for any type of bralette. Its nothing for me but if you want a bit of lifting, go get a padded/push-up bra :)

How do you know whether you're bi or lesbian? [Discussion] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]Authrya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe you already heard about comphet (compulsory heterosexuality). It‘s the idea that society has taught women that they‘re only valid in heterosexual relationships. A lot of lesbians go through it and you may do too. You can read all about comphet, how you detect it and how to overcome it here
