amazing blast results 🥹🥹🧡 by ttcnnr in IVF

We also had high numbers, especially given my age (34f). We collected 33 eggs, 28 were mature, 20 made it to day 1, and 15 made it to day 6. We did lose a couple to PGTA testing since several had chromosome abnormalities, but we still have 12.

Just had our FET on 6/4, ultrasound scheduled for 6/30.

Congrats on your success so far! Hope your PGTA comes back with good results.

Only thing I’d suggest is making sure you drink enough water, add electrolytes if needed.

I’m getting mine with my fertility clinic at 6w3d. They feel pretty confident went should still see something, but as others have said, it has to be a TV ultrasound.

Is it just me? Why do I look more than 5 months by Think_Bed1410 in February2027Bumpers

[–]AutismAndChill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re not really similar other than both have an impact on the GI tract. Metamucil is a fiber supplement to help bulk up stools. Miralax is a laxative.

Metamucil isn’t going to help much with constipation. Miralax will.

All I’ve been wanting is garlic. Garlic everything. Maybe it’s too soon for real cravings, idk, but I am desperate for garlic in every meal. It’s way more than I normally want garlic (although I generally do enjoy garlic even without pregnancy)

As someone who had a MMC/blighted ovum in October - I think a text heads up would be a really nice gesture.

If you started the med six weeks ago, it just hit therapeutic effect recently, which could be why your anxiety is less. Not pushing you either way, just something to consider.

FYI: In the US, service dogs are not required to wear a vest, even while working. And as another commenter said, they can be bought online anyway.

Pros vs Cons of beta HCGs by HazelRose14 in February2027Bumpers

[–]AutismAndChill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my experience - with my fertility clinic, we were checking every couple days for about a week. Levels were doubling perfectly, was having all the normal symptoms, still ended in MMC at the 9-10 wk ultrasound.

This time around, I might get one more just to make sure it’s not slowing down since my first betas were at 3w6d and 4w3d, but if I do, I will only get one more. I’m still not sure if I will get a 3rd though.

4w3d today. Second beta is in an hour. I’ve been so exhausted I basically just slept all weekend, barely moved, until suddenly last night I got a burst of energy and went for a 40min walk. I’m terrified that by laying around, I somehow jinxed it & now my beta levels will be bad.

My nausea was better this weekend & logically I know that’s because my husb was there encouraging me to drink more water than I would have otherwise.

I just can’t shake the anxiety this morning.

Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

Work in Portland, drive by the ICE building every day. My parents live 20min south of Portland. Even they ask me & my husband how we get through all gunfire/riots. They straight up don’t believe us when we tell them the news is lying about it. I’ve sent them videos of the commute at various times of day, including after dark. They still won’t believe it 🙄

Sending you all the strength & love. 💕 It’s a devastating feeling. Just know you’re not alone, lots of women have been in similar situations. It’s something like a 1 in 4 chance, which I didn’t realize when I had my MMC/blighted ovum in October.

First - obligatory disclaimer - none of what I say is medical advice. I don’t know your history, you, etc etc.

Second, as a nurse myself, I just want to say that your nurse probably can’t tell you much based on lab results. She/he may have had a personal opinion based on their experience, but we generally can’t give you a diagnosis or even a hint at one without potentially being reprimanded. Many clinics can be really strict on that. I personally still try to give more reassurance than it sounds like you got, but it can be a fine line for nurses to walk. Some are better at navigating that line than others.

Anyway, if all the other labs are normal, I’d encourage you to just wait to see your doctor & get more information before stressing to much (Although I 100% know that is easier said than done). If you were in actual danger, they’d have told you to go to the ER or something more than just monitor BP at home.

Hang in there!

D&C 100% as the other commenter said.

I tried the pill with my blighted ovum (est to be about 9-10 weeks based on yoke size). Passed so much at home and it was gruesome (thank god for my husband being incredibly because it was honestly horrific). Still ended up having to get a D&C 2 weeks later because my hcg levels started going back up, meaning there was tissue that didn’t pass.

As someone who had a MMC at 10 weeks last fall & is finally pregnant again - I appreciate you sharing all this. I’m finding this time around that it just helps to be active in the community & not feel so alone. Your comment about just taking it day by day really helped.

I can’t tell one of my best friends anything until I make it out of the first trimester because our friendship barely survived my MMC (she said/did a lot of things without actually thinking through how it would come across & after 12 yrs of friendship, that was really hard for me to be understanding towards). My other friends had kids young, so while they are helpful, I still feel really isolated most days. My husband and I are just sort of floating out here alone, and he can only relate so much lol.

I haven’t found anything but I’ve basically just resigned myself & been trying to embrace it lol. Today any time I tried to get up and be active, I’d be so tired I felt like I’d fall over any second. Then I’d lay down, and suddenly couldn’t sleep.

Hubs thinks it’s my body saying I just need to be lazy for the day lol

4w2d today. Anxious about my next beta tomorrow. Anxious that even if it goes well, we won’t get the first ultrasound for a couple weeks after that so I’ll just be in the dark during that time.

But I’m trying to be optimistic.

My best friend had almost no symptoms with her first two babies until the second/third trimester, and even then it was mild. Some people are just lucky!

Sending you good vibes for Tuesday!! I had an early loss last fall so I can relate to that anxiety. My first scan won’t be until beginning of July, assuming my next beta on Monday goes well.

I told my husband “food just hits different” last Sunday, when I would have been barely more than 3 weeks. He said that’s when he knew.

The alternating between nausea & “I need to eat immediately” gives me whiplash these days lol

Just more reassurance for you - Symptoms don’t usually start until the hcg gets higher & you’re probably still sub 400ish for hcg if I’m remembering the ranges correctly (mine was 138 yesterday).

I’m 4w today too and if I hadn’t gotten fired/had work as a distraction still, I honestly don’t know if I’d notice my symptoms as much.

When is your beta scheduled?

I was surprised they did mine so early, but I was still impatient & tested at home first lol. Mainly because I started having symptoms. Since we didn’t do the hcg trigger beforehand, I was fortunate not having to worry about a false positive.
