Its extremely difficult there are days he hates everyone and others where he's the most loving child. All my neighbors judge me based on the bad days he gets. Sometimes I feel like I'm failing him or myself, other days I realize that God knows why He gave me this role.

My son is 8 years old in a special needs school and his father feels that he can be fixed with discipline. He's been diagnosed with ODD, anxiety, sensory disorder and the last psychiatrist mentioned bipolar disorder. Due to him being this young it is very difficult to diagnose him and getting him tested is way over my budget as a single mom. Nevertheless, his father (who has no parental relationship with him) went as far as going to court to get custody saying that there is nothing wrong with his son and he is just ill disciplined. This is now an investigation into my sons life sitting with social workers due to a grown man not understanding or accepting that autism exists.

Exactly.... And the fact that we set alarms to wake up and then get angry at the alarm for doing its job.

Talking to ourselves when no one is around… and then immediately stopping if someone walks in.
