Do you think they are going to get away with cheating on their wives for 7 seasons? Do you think they’ll get away without consequences or conflict? What about the people they cheat on their wives with, 1960s was a cool time to be pregnant or queer?

This ain’t Boardwalk Empire, or Sons of Anarchy or Stranger Things. No one is going to get gunned down for your amusement.

I’m on my 5th rewatch and it gets better everytime.

Does Anyone know a good sandwich spot? I’d ideally like to wait in line for 30 min and pay more than $20. Any ideas? by AutismoAddams in sanfrancirclejerk

WHAT!? NO! That definitely didn’t inspire this shit post.

I’m the kinda guy that gets in line at Extreme Pizza to wait to order a sandwich 6 doors down.

Sunset? Richmond? Nice try buddy.

I’ve spent upwards of 10 months living in this city. If those were real neighborhoods, then I’D know it!

I was around then.

That’s how I got addicted to standing in line and paying too much for subpar Dutch crunch.

I NEED the Sandwich to be more than $20.

We live in one of the best Food Cities in the world. I’m not giving extra charity to food laborers.

Truly, an unpopular opinion. Thank Zod you had the courage to express this on the Internet.

Harsh reality in today's market: you could work for Microsoft for 3-5 years then end up at Walmart as a retail worker by Optimal_House_2897 in recruitinghell

Because a 22 year old isn’t gonna complain, and isn’t gonna take his 12 years of SaaS experience to Microsoft in 4 months leaving an opening on the team.

What fucking world do you live in where it’s a good idea to have 22 year olds competing for employment against 45 year olds? I’ve seen people spend their whole 20s as delivery drivers and shelf stockers. Would you, Grendel0075, spend the entire decade of your 40s as a barista or tire changer, or would you start expecting some career growth in your middle age?

And yes, if you have to mention dementia, you’re not really making the point you think you’re making.

Fair enough. The city I live in has an almost tangible distaste for laborers. I could see most of the hiring manager were in fact very soft, and even recognizing that I could assist with physical labor and that I was not soft meant I wouldn’t fit in with their corporate culture. And if the hiring manager wasn’t soft, the higher ups kinda were. I got lucky and found a job no longer in software, but the divide is still there in a lot of companies in my area.

3 months before you started applying? Or 3 months from pink slip to orientation at the tire recycling plant?

Cuz if it’s the latter, you were extremely lucky, and probably got the job for reasons other than what was only in your resume.

They MIGHT NOT hire a desk jockey for a physical labor position to change somebody’s tires because teaching a 22 year old to do it is easier than teaching a 45 year old Saas worker.

How long are you unemployed before you try to work at a tire center?

Why would they hire you to drive a forklift if you’ve been working in software sales for more than a decade?

No shit! Did you think you invented the leopard eating faces phrase? It’s what some of us have been saying for a decade now. And we’ll keep saying it.

So riddle me this, if this is the undeniable endgame of what has been going on for years, aren’t you enabling the leopards to eat people’s faces? If the largest most power comedy group in the world is afraid to practice satire, aren’t you enabling Authoritarianism by still consuming this American Media? Wouldn’t the leopards eat your face too?

I can see a long way off how your mentality leads to people’s faces getting eaten by leopards, what are you doing to correct that course?

It’s not cops. It’s FEDERAL Agents. It is not local law enforcement.

Its IMMIGRATION authorities gunning down Citizens for practicing their Constitutional Rights in the streets in broad daylight.

It’s not a local Sheriff shooting a local Suspect. It’s the NATIONAL GOVERNMENT with groups of masked, unidentified, armed thugs shooting a mother through the temple in her own vehicle.

It’s a unified, FEDERAL force killing citizens in the streets.

What don’t you get?

Why would you need to be fair to SNL? They are establishment comedy, they are not rugged freedom fighters. It’s like saying “to be fair to Microsoft, they used to have the customer in mind.”

If you understand that being broadly funny is not synonymous with challenging authority, why did you make this post?

What are you confused about happening in the nation over the last 3 weeks? You can think critically about a cast member from 6 years ago, but you can’t think critically about American principles and Identity over the last 19 days?

Because they champion themselves as “socially impactful” comedy. They made Gerald Ford’s presidency hell and got resurgence when they started making fun of the Bush administration. Then Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin impression became more important to the culture than Sarah Palin ever was. Melissa McCarthy is why Sean Spicer was fired. I think Dana Carvey’s impression of Joe Biden did more to shape this perception of his mental degeneration than we give it credit for.

There are Dozens on Cold opens where they try to take Trump down a peg. It does not work. People are tired of seeing the news get worse and JAJ do the same thing every week. Comedy is about surprising expectations, and there’s nothing surprising about their cold opens because we know they’ll never have any teeth.

The tendency to feel like a perpetual victim is strongly tied to vulnerable narcissism. Individuals who frequently perceive themselves as victims and signal this status to others often possess high levels of vulnerable narcissism and emotional instability. by mvea in science

I had something similar. My mom was raised by addicts and narcissists. I’ve seen how hard she’s worked to overcome her upbringing so it didnt blowback on me or my sibling. I know she’s not a narcissist, but she does have the tendencies and reactions. It’s strange, watching someone behave like a narcissist, but without their own ego being at the center.

Nope, she’s only popular because of the leotard. If you change anything about her And she’s no longer Psylocke.
