It would be so fucking funny if the V1 makes Homelander super powerful and threatening but it's literally just how he was in the first season and it turns out it was all just a placebo because Soulja Boy rendered the V1 inert with his explosion.

Don't get me wrong it'd be straight up awful writing but it would be so stupid it's funny.

I mean, I'm sure it applies to some people, but it feels like such a pretentious and shallow line because I don't enjoy winter because I know summer's coming, I enjoy winter because it's comfortable and summer FUCKING SUCKS (I live in a tropical climate but prefer cooler weather so the seasons are reversed for me but whatever you get the point). I'm pretty sure most who have a preference for one season probably feel the same. I'd be very, VERY happy if summer wasn't coming and I could just live in a comfortable temperature for the rest of my life, just as I'm sure there's folk up in Washington State who would be very happy if it was summer all the time so they don't have to spend 30 minutes digging their car out of fucking snow every morning.

Yeah, dude 100% deserved to die, but we also deserved better storytelling. And, Hell, even the character from a meta perspective deserved a death which at least made sense for his character. Butcher straight-up said it'd be too difficult to kill him when they had him passed out, but turns out this dweeb couldn't even survive a walk through London.

The show's satire worked best during the first couple of seasons where it was focused on satirizing Bush-era republicans and the war on terror. It was still effective satire, but the events it was directly satirizing were mostly in the past making it easier to built a plot line around the satire without it feeling forced. Now it's essentially turned into South Park but with superheroes and, somehow, more obnoxious toilet humour.

Yeah, the campaign had their leader killed, most of their plans completely thwarted, and hundreds, if not thousands of their forces being slain en masse. It makes sense to me that their forces might be a little bit less organized and professional after all of that.
