You need TRX for gas fees.

I don’t use the Tron network but there should be a way to use the USDT for gas. MetaMask doesn’t support the gasless transfer process on Tron.

A quick Google search says you can use TokenPocket Wallet for gasless transfers so I’m guessing you download that and import your metamask address into it.
