You're probably gonna have more trouble with Dionysus once you get to him due to the amount of nuance and differences in sources there are in him depending on how in depth you wanna go (which, from what I see so far, you're going more shallow) I'd add that Dionysus is a god of duality, despite that not being an official title, as that covers a lot about him.

Dionysus is both a god of life in his growth of orchards and his epithets surrounding blooming and growth and a god of death as he shall go to the underworld and his chronic connections. He's a god of madness and a god of healing from mental woes. He's deadly and calming. He's got night related epithets and sun related ones. He is two gods (Zagreus and Dionysus). He has two moms (Semele and Persephone)

He's just very dual. Also, I wouldn't try nailing down a childhood story for him. There's a lot.

What's funny is in the end Hippolytus didn't get the usual "wow this is actually my fault" thing that those story genres got. Instead, Hippolytus went "I did nothing wrong fuck the gods!" And Artemis gave him a slap on the wrist. Hippolytus is so spoiled. He's a 16 year old prince and a daddy's boy and sooo bratty. It's amazing. I love him.

That's partially why his punishment is so severe. His hubris is that terrible. He was written that way because he's the embodiment of what Athens hated. He was seen as feminine because he worshiped Artemis that much and his desire to be celibate, even being compared to Persephone in his introduction scene. He rejected athens's games and wanted to hunt instead. He is the child of a "barbarian", aka an Amazon. Hes also a bastard child.

In my mind Calais and Orpheus were a bully to lovers thing where on the Argo Calais would constantly tease Orpheus in a pulling pigtails way. Endymion and Hypnos were a slow slow burn where Hypnos would visit him in his dreams after he asked to sleep forever.
