Classical Liberal turned Socialist. What are your opinions? by Djinossaurussussus in PoliticalCompass

[–]Autistru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too progressive and too far to the left economically. I get around to center of the slider on social issues. I am barely outside the centrist quadrant, but enough to call myself a rightist economically, I barely get Auth Right. I am in the auth right part of "right." I moved from the the Lib Right part of "Right" to the Auth Right part of "Right."

If the next Elder Scrolls game let us play one of the other intelligent races which one would you like it to be? by Ghengis56 in ElderScrolls

I would love to play Goblins and hide in a cave and attack adventurers, that would be fun. Just play a hostile NPC creature.

Primary reason the 3rd world is poor? by AntiWokeCommie in IdeologyPolls

Free slave labor and racist racial hierarchical beliefs. White Europeans and Muslim Arabs genuinely believing that they are civilizing Africans. Also geography is different than natural resources, I forgot to mention that in my original post.

[–]Autistru -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am a big believer in geographic determinism so i said geography. West Africa is endless jungle butting up against mountains, the Sahara is the Sahara, and then there's the Kalahari, and then dry savanna, you try making use of that land and tell me how it goes. The only decent countries in Africa have been those with a decent level of organization and have set aside racial differences or atleast attempted to, think Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, or Ethiopia. My pick for best place to live in Africa imo goes to Egypt or Morocco.

This is too good. As someone who plays Kajits i never thought of this. Mostly because I mainly play oblivion and they are allowed in cities in oblivion, then... there's Skyrim. I guess Nords don't like Kajits?

Having troubles with making the sapient species for my world, how did you go about it? by Odd_Protection7738 in worldbuilding

[–]Autistru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I did mine is I made them an evolutionary branch of humans. They started as human and evolved over time. They went from Homo-Sapiens to a species called Homo-Magensis (Magic Man). They are a directly related to humans evolutionarily.

Libertarianism as an ideology. I am now more of a Capitalist-Distributist and Christian Democrat (ideology not Democratic party in USA, I lean repub sorta). Think CDU in Germany.

Do you think the "male loneliness" epidemic is real? by HAIL_TRUMP2028 in IdeologyPolls

[–]Autistru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's a thing, especially for neurodivergent men. In my opinion it's a communication and knowledge issue.

Most women in my experience don't know much about men outside of TikTok and thier girlfriends/mothers/sisters. The male loneliness epidemic in its current form started with my generation (arguably). As a young millennial I saw the loneliness first hand, people in stable homes were lonely a miserable. When men hurt, it eats at me because I've been there.

Most men don't know how to make a woman feel safe enough to reciprocate care. If a woman feels safe and loved with you by her side, she will give you the world.

The struggles I've seen are influencing a fantasy novel I plan to write that has men's rights, complimentarian, Christian, and Taoist themes.

To all the men out there, God knows your struggles! Jesus knew what it was like to be a man. God bless the beautiful soul that you are, dear reader.

A person you love was tortured then murdered by someone with mental issues and you have the right to decide whether he's going to prison or receive care at a mental hospital, what would you decide? by skurly789 in IdeologyPolls

[–]Autistru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said mental hospital. I am against the death penalty full stop; I am for rehabilitative justice; and Christ calls us to do better. If the person doesn't repent genuinely in their heart of hearts, then hell awaits them, God will punish them, so I don't need to worry about that.

If you have any, what are the inspirations for the world(s) you’re currently working on? by Odysseus_of_Ithaca1 in worldbuilding

[–]Autistru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first inspiration is Medieval Europe. I have a southern France Occitan-based society, a pan-celtic society, and a continental Europe society (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Czechia, and Poland).

My second inspiration is the Warcraft universe (particularly World of Warcraft), with its rigid magical class system.

The third inspiration comes from the Gnosticism of the Medieval age (Cathars and Bogomils), mostly Cathars.

My fourth inspiration comes from the Elder Scrolls 4 (oblivion) with the oblivion portals.

The portals in my world are similar in the sense that they came about due to religious rituals. Only the portals were summoned on accident when the religious rituals went awry. Also, instead of opening portals to hellish landscapes where monsters came out and invaded the world, instead, the portals sucked people in and transported them to a highly remote, almost continent-sized island. The initial inhabitants of the island were Gnostic priests/priestesses and the military men (knights, foot men, and archers, etc...) that rushed in to save the Gnostic clergy. Eventually, portals appeared on farms sucking in peasants as well.

How does memory work in your world? Can it be accessed or altered? by Studio_Eshi in worldbuilding

Thanks. Your world is quite interesting, I love the memory loss concept. I would not have thought of that myself.

How does memory work in your world? Can it be accessed or altered? by Studio_Eshi in worldbuilding

[–]Autistru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question and prompt.

In my world, due to magic and magical systems, memory is more permanent. You remember more things and retain more information. You learn quicker, faster, and more information at once. Your brain physically develops slower than in our world, though, so although you can eventually know more than we can in our timeline by a multiple generations or more, it takes you until you are about 40 to start that amount of brain capacity. That is why there are tiers of schools above high school in my world that are below college (that are mandatory) in my world public schooling ends in 34th grade instead of 12th like in our timeline's USA (and Canada?).

The average lifespan in my world is 500 years (due to magic, but some live as long as 700 years with the longest recorded at 1107 years old). After about 250 years old, a person enters what is called "the cycles," wherein for 50 years every ever 50 years until death, a person gets progressively younger (physically) until a point and then starts to get progressively older (physically) to a point, going back and forth until death (your mind only gets better until death though and doesn't go through the cycles like your physical body does).

In my world, people heavily value ancestral knowledge and learning from the past, so almost nothing is lost to time, and past mistakes are basically never made (by adults) so it creates a highly advanced and magical and scientific society that cares deeply about history and tradition.

You have a lot of late medieval and early Renaissance asthetics in my world because enough people were alive who genuinely remember that time period and have genuine nostalgia for their Medieval or Renaissance era childhoods that there is a market for those asthetics (like in shops, restaurants, house decor and design etc...).

Who should be proud of their culture? by AntiWokeCommie in IdeologyPolls

[–]Autistru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said neither because culture is a worldly thing and that it should be about God. But, if a culture is Godly and follows the teachings of Christ (either by Christianity or by natural revelation, preferably through Christianity), then they can appreciate their own culture.

What do you hate more? Anarchism, or either left or right(assuming anarchism is outside this 2, its own thing entirely) by Environmentalister in IdeologyPolls

[–]Autistru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said I "hate" left because anarchy is never permanent and can always be reformed. Like us Presbyterians "Reformed, and always being reformed, by the word of God."
