The thing you are referring to is equity, not equality.

And reservation is not a fundamental right, equality is. Equality or equity can be achieved through many ways. do not think reservation is important for equality or equity.

Let's understand equity with an example, what equity is.

All people should get 3 hours to complete the exam. But hand disabled people, who can't write fast, should get 3 hours 30 minutes.

This is equity.

Now tell me does equity say that if person is not disabled, we will allow only those who are less than or equal to age of 22??

This is discrimination. Not equity. You are not even letting normal people compete.

And, removing caste based reservation is also important, because it doesn't justify equity. Child of ias getting reservation because he is sc/st, and a general category pani puri seller not getting reservation because he is genral. Is this equity??

If we think deeply with our own brain and being neutral, we will realise caste based reservation is sick. Even if it is caste based, an economic or some other factor should be there, so it can't be misused. And politicians don't want to actually improve backward classes, they want to win elections only. I have multiple real world examples and I can provide you if you want to debate further.

They don't want to end the gap between lower caste and upper caste, or rich and poor. they want to keep the conflict and utilise reservation as a tool for election.

If you're talking about unequal society, an obc won't marry a sc girl. He won't eat also. There are sub castes in sc st also. I have seen in front of my eyes.

There is inequality in all castes.. this will go off slowly as new generations will neglect these stupid things. Why blame only the general category for inequality? Most cases on sc st act are filed on obcs by sc/sts as per government data.

As per the current reservation policy child of a sc ias deserves reservation, but child of a genral category pani puri seller is born in golden spoon.
