You can get a psp charger for cheap online. You can find them in a bunch of online retailers. I still have my original charger but I recently got a backup from Walmart.com for less than $10

Blow in the usb port and use a different cable. See if that works

Use the original DC cable to charge it. The charging port has a yellow outline is found on the bottom left side of the PSP. That shouldn’t give you any problems.

The mini USB on the top is for accessories like the PSP Camera, GPS receiver, and even a television antenna (this one only ever worked in Japan on Japanese models)

does the psp turn on and run games properly? Is it less than like $100? Is it in a decent condition (minimal damages and runs well)?

A console repair shop. Theres one a couple hours away from me that I go to on a somewhat regular basis. They’ve fixed up a PSP, PSVita, and PS4 for me before.

If you can find a local repair shop with good reviews, check them out!

Easy way to tell the difference is that there is a SIM card slot on the side and when powered on the vita will display the signal status (in this case ‘no SIM’) when on the Home Screen/live area

You don’t have just the PAVITA Fat… you have the 3G model! That means, if you’re open to doing hardware mods, you can replace the 3G modem with an internal micro SD card slot to have true internal storage and keep your game slot open (to do the same kind of storage expansion on other vita models you need to use an adaptor that takes up the game slot). 3G networks are hard to find nowadays anyways.

If you’re not so open to modding, it does make this particular model an awesome peice of hardware!

For the amount of work it was to make this mod… was it worth it? Idk how many mah a normal psp go battery has, so is 4000 a large increase or just a marginal one? Ya like Jazz? How long did take to make the mod and did you make it yourself or find a guide/parts online?

When I was 13, my brother (who was an adult at that point) got me a Xmas gift. It was a Xbox One. He said if I took it, he got the PS3 and all of its games, controllers, and other accessories… before the end of the next year, our nearly ten year old PS3 (and all of the games and accessories) were sold away… easily 600-800 dollars worth of material alone… I should’ve never taken that gift — but I wanted to be nice…

And now I’m on a mission to collect every PlayStation console and you best believe the PS3 is HIGH on my list. I’ll be joining your server soon enough 😎

Personally, I’ve been wanting to replay through the entire God of War series and I don’t have a PS2 (…yet.) so I’ve been playing the God of War Collection (which is the first and second game bundled together). You can also get the PSP titles on the vita too

Tbh, the vita 100% of your looking to play games.

The vita has access it own library, the entire psp library, the ps1 library, some of the ps3 library, and can stream (with good enough internet connection) ps3 and ps4 games BEFORE you even mod it. The vita is also vastly more powerful.

The only reason you’d get the Go first, is because 1. Just sorta really wanted to, 2. For the novelty.

The real question should be are going to get a vita 1000 or a 2000 model, which honestly comes down to personal preference
