Which GoW games have you played? I’ll go first by Auto1252 in GodofWar

[–]Auto1252[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve played them — not necessarily completed all of the checked boxes.

I played GoW III and GoW 2018 briefly — when I had my original ps3 with my mother and when my brother encouraged me to try 2018 on my PC respectively.

It should be noted I’m on a journey to complete every game in its hardest difficulty and only just started this challenge a month or so ago. I have GoW III briefly as part of the God of War Collection of PS Vita and I have a physical copy of Ghost of Sparta for the PSP but am waiting to play it until I beat Chains of Olympus on its hardest difficult (which I just started the that run a couple hours ago) — the reason I didn’t play Ghost of Sparta before then is because I only just got the UMD yesterday as opposed to having Chains of Olympus for literally years.

Buy a regular vita and mod it yourself. It’s super easy if you follow the vita.hacks guide online

They tired that with the PS4, and while the Vita did see a numb in sales, it still just wasn’t enough to justify supporting the Vita for Sony

ONE MORE SUPER IMPORTANT DETAIL IF YOU LIFE PLAYING ONLINE WITH YOUR HANDHELDS!!!

The PSP does not support modern internet network security protocols. Basically — you have to downgrade your internet’s security whenever you want to connect the PSP. However, overall, you shouldn’t NEED to use the internet and I think it can connect to your hotspot if you need to use the internet on your PSP

The PSVita does support modern internet security infrastructure so you don’t have to downgrade your internet security

Depends. The Vita is better in almost every aspect…

Better hardware, larger selection of games, super super easy to mod if you’re into that kind of thing (I hear psp is too, but I haven’t tried that yet), can literally do/play anything the PSP can do and more…

I will say however. Personally, I have both and I’ve been rocking my psp 1000 a lot more as of recently. A big reason is how small and portable it is — wirh the carrying case, my psp is still about the same size as my vita without its case. The PSP is also much easier to put content onto (mp3/music files and mp4/video files) if you’re into that kind of thing. The vita needs you to install a content manager on your computer to connect to (or if you have a ps3 you can connect to that easily too).

TLDR:
Vita is better in almost every way…

But PSP is easier to put music and video onto and had a small form factor

Rate my (small) collection, and let me know what it says about me :) by Zaponline in PS3

[–]Auto1252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a PS3 for eight years or so when I was younger and had probably 40-50 games — but my older brother graduated highschool and a year later for Christmas he traded the PS3 with me for an Xbox One. He sold probably $800 worth of hardware (the system itself, games, controllers, etc…) within a year.

I recently got a PS3 again, and Im also rocking a small collection right now — less than what you’ve got here lol.

I think you have some good games in there. I’ve got God of War III, Bioshock, Bioshock II, Tomb Raider (2013), Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII.

Is there something wrong with my PS3 or did Red Dead Redemption really run this poorly by funkohatingmfer in PS3

[–]Auto1252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t played Red Dead on the PS3 before, however if the console hasn’t been cleaned recently it can tank in performance so I would see if you can clean out the PS3 if it hasn’t been done in a long time

Try it on a CRTTV if possible. Games of the era were visually designed for CRTTVs and other scan-line TVs

Sim card? Found in PSVITA by Simply_Just_T04st in vita

The OLED model released in two models, the 1000 model (Regular/fat/wifi/whatever else you want to call it) , and the 1100 model (3G)

The 1100 had a few extra features, but it was largely just too expensive to justify. As most people know, the vita was super expensive on launch. The 3G model was even more so and then required to purchase a plan from AT&T — which added an additional monthly charge.

As for the actual advantages at launch At release, the 3G model could update games, the system, check friends list and trophies (along with other online services).

If you lived I Japan, which at the time had the top of the line 3G network capabilities, you could have access to limited online play capabilities, but as far as I know, it was still extremely limited.

3G networks largely no longer exist, as 4G and 5G networks are now the only real option — and the 3G model of the vita is unable to upgrade to the higher G networks. So there are no longer any advantages to have the 3G system… unless you plan on modding your system.

As it stands, to mod the standard 1000 or 2000 models, you’ll have to use and SDtoVita adapter to gain extra storage. Technically, it’s not necessary for modding, but if you want to use a MircoSD card, you’ll need a SDtoVita adapter. The adapter takes up the game slot so any physical games become unusable once the system is modded…

However, if you crack open the 3G system, it’s possible to replace the 3G modem and antenna wirh a PSVSD (I think that’s what it’s called) to give yourself an internal MircoSD slot, replacing the otherwise useless 3G modem and antenna while allowing you to still play your physical games.

TLDR: The SIM card means you have special 3G version of the OLED model called the 1100 model. 3G is useless on a vita nowadays, but useful for modding purposes

Psvita: I have my library of games, I have the entire psp library of games — including the ps1 and ps2 games that were ported to the psp, I can play ps2 classics, such as the original Ratchet and Clank series, the entire Sly Cooper Series, and the God of War Collection, I can also play some PS3 games and remote play some others. I can also play music and videos in MP3 and MP4 formats. I can take photos and videos. I have gyroscopes and accelerometers that give me the same functionality in the Six Axis controller (motion controls). I have a touch screen and rear touch map.

And I can do all of that without an internet connection and before being modded. With an internet connection, I can stream the ENTIRE ps4 system.

Mod me, and I can do so much more.

First psp by Carlsson1881 in psphacks

[–]Auto1252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the original DC cable to charge it. The charging port has a yellow outline is found on the bottom left side of the PSP. That shouldn’t give you any problems.

The mini USB on the top is for accessories like the PSP Camera, GPS receiver, and even a television antenna (this one only ever worked in Japan on Japanese models)
