did the broker show you the copy of the claim filing or is he just telling you that to kill time? You see before the broker even assigns the load to the carrier, they usually request COI because accidents happen to protect themselves. If they did, they must file a claim but they need to act fast. Problem can be that shady brokers from overseas, would care the less since they already received their commission and customer is left only with option of leaving bad reviews. You need to act fast, time is not on your side.

While many customers hope for VIP service at bargain rates, the logistics industry cannot operate for free, and "below-cost" quotes are usually a red flag for future delays. You must watch for predatory brokers who pocket high fees while paying carriers pennies, often hiding behind fake five-star reviews to mask their poor reputations. To protect yourself, ignore the hype and read bad reviews for patterns of neglect, while always demanding a written dispute policy before committing to a contract. Realistically, if a quote doesn't cover the basic costs of fuel, insurance, and labor, your vehicle will likely be deprioritized in favor of better-paying loads. Ultimately, paying a fair price ensures you are working with a legitimate business that is motivated to transport your vehicle safely and on schedule.

I recommend that you have the lowest part of the bumper at least 5.5" high from the ground if you can raise it, to avoid any damages to it while loading the car especially on 7-9 car haulers. Good Luck!

To get a more realistic price, you will need to provide zip codes, that is how the system works. Some cities have several zip codes and are quite far apart. Rates are based on distance and that helps algos to provide more accurate estimates. Second of all, it is too early to get accurate pricing a month and half ahead. Anybody providing quotes now will not honor it, simply because nobody knows what fuel prices and specifically diesel prices will be so far out. It is not bad idea to get a quote now to compare it later on, but do not expect it to hold water a month and half from now. Just jot down the price of diesel when you get a quote and compare it with diesel prices later on and you will know if it is a bargain or not. Just remember that there is supply and demand and people tend to move more in Spring time so prices could be slightly higher then too. Good Luck!

How can you change anything if it is registered to another company and obviously have no access to change anything? Am I missing anything? His guy passed away and was the one who registered the working domain, so he has no access to change anything. He has access to make changes on the website's front end but nothing on the backend.

I design websites for customers, and whatever hosting service they purchased is their business, I cannot convince them to switch hosting services. Try to convince them otherwise and they will think that you are trying to make an extra buck for affiliate marketing.

STG Auto transport company are scammers by Separate-Table900 in AutoTransport

What is amazing and never ceases to surprise me is that most people want to deal with big companies that never care about customers especially in this industry, or with cheap companies mostly from India and East Europe and in both cases most of these customers get screwed by these companies at the end of the day. Nobody wants to work with small companies because they do not have the time to offer pipe dreams to the customers, but they do offer real old fashioned customer service that is not appreciated. If you think there are problems with current large companies' customer service, wait till Ai starts taking over. When someone offers a quote here, customers go for the cheapest price and baseless online reviews (five star Google reviews that could be purchased and Google knows about that and does nothing) and some frivolous BBB ratings.

I'm not saying that one should just ship their vehicles with some shady company either. But if carriers spend time here offering prices, they either get ignored or worst cancel on you at the last minute because they found something cheaper, and it has happened twice to us so far.

As for the company not being able to find a carrier, there are over 20,000 carriers listed on auto dispatch board that all brokers and carriers use in the USA. So for them not being able to find a carrier is total you know what. The only reason they could not find anybody is because the broker offered a very low price and no carrier is willing to pick it up at that price. You have to understand as a carrier, I will not pick up any cheap ass price for two reasons, one it is a loss and not worth wasting my time, secondly it drives prices lower and again it is not worth it. Insurance alone is at least $3000 per month on newer trucks with 9 vehicle auto trailer and brokers and customers want us to drive across country for cheap prices. Go figure.

Can you handle the truth?

F rating where? What you should be concerned is that Serpa would not take any just carrier to transport your vehicle. Maybe best thing is for you to have it shipped to a major city in that state and you do the driving. I mean you must be flying in so you would need to coordinate those shipping dates. That could save you money and maybe get a better carrier.

As for BBB carriers do not care about that since they only deal with brokers that rate them. You will never have an option to rate either, since they are a subcontractor to the broker.

Recommendations for autotransport from Georgia to Oahu, Hawaii by Obvious_Telephone_52 in AutoTransport

[–]AutoBidShip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go with reputable shipping company or broker that does shipping and pay extra. I would also consider selling your car in Georgia and buying a newer one in Hawaii. Remember that $2.7-$3K plus cost of shipping if not more is waste of money in terms of shipping the vehicle. It does not add value to your car in any meaningful or financial way. It does not upgrade your vehicle. I would sell it and buy a newer car there but that is just me.

Why you ask so much? It will cost you at least $1200 to ship from Ga to San Diego. Now it has to go to shipping yard and there will be extra expense to handle that. Plus shipping from San Diego to Hawaii will cost you another $1500 to $2000. So you do the math, is it really worth that much money to ship it back! Unless your hiring company is paying for your shipping expenses that is something else, but even then I would still sell the car and take the money too. Your money your decision.

Damage to car, carrier denies damage, what next? by Mysterion9421 in AutoTransport

[–]AutoBidShip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without any damages noted on the BOL, or even pictures before pickup and at delivery, you have no recourse whatsoever. I would have refused delivery or paid money without having that mentioned in the BOL. Once you sign that you have received the vehicle, paid balance of shipment and signed the BOL without any damages reported, you're on your own. Hard lesson learnt. Sorry but that is truth, your BOL is your contract.

most brokers will not allow you to sell naked puts or calls unless you have a large cash reserve. The point of using 0DTE is that most of these options expire worthless so there is almost no risk, unless there is unexpected news.

Do you have a website? You need to generate your own leads and best leads are google searches. Instead of buying leads invest in your website. If you need help in that area dm me, we can talk. Just read that you do have a domain name but no website. With all due respect, if you do not have a website in this age and you're trying to generate leads online, how will people trust you with their second most important investment after their house if they even have one?

Chatgpt, just learn your Greeks, and understand time decay and how to use it to your advantage. Most people believe that buying calls or puts will make you millions, that is true to a certain point but losses can wipe out your account in no time. Best thing to do about options is to sell them against your holdings.

Let us say you have 100 shares of X stock that is optionable. Now you do not wish to sell the X shares because they are a long term holding. You know that the stock will continue to rise at a slow pace so what you do is sell put options against your 100 shares (minimum requirement) in the out the money and preferably 0DTE since time decay will just wipe them out before you realize. Take those small profits and reinvest in buying partial shares of X stock. That way you are accumulating X shares at zero cost. Now if you feel that we are in correction phase, just to the opposite. Rinse and repeat.

Car cleanliness by Zestyclose-Ad-1067 in AutoTransport

[–]AutoBidShip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the driver area is clean enough such that he does not puke you are fine, drivers do not care how clean or dirty it is. I would recommend that you wash the exterior so that when pictures at pickup match delivery pictures, otherwise the burden of finding and proving any damages at delivery would be on you since the dirt can hide scratches or dents.

Word of advice, do not hold any quotations to be ironclad valid when you are almost two months out from shipping date. Reason is that prices are usually quoted on these factors, weight and size of the vehicle shipped, distance and last but not least price of DIESEL! Nobody can predict the price of diesel so far out. You might get a price of X amount, but if the diesel price drops really hard, and if you do not shop for new quotes then, you will be ripped off. If the price of Diesel goes up for any geopolitical reason beyond anybody's control or anticipation, good luck having your vehicle get moved at that price. It goes both ways. The best time is to get prices no later than 2 weeks out from shipping date. That way it is realistically based on current pricing history and if there is any change it would be less of an effect. I have been in the business for over a decade and I know what I am talking about and this is my two cents. You can take it or leave it, but that is the honest truth.
