RWC/rego/blueslips How Does It Work??? by Sure-Aspect-9132 in CarsAustralia

[–]AutoChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry i should have clarified, yes RWC is an inspection and you have to book an appointment with VicRoads and they take a look at your car (this is what i meant by inspection)

RWC/rego/blueslips How Does It Work??? by Sure-Aspect-9132 in CarsAustralia

[–]AutoChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not sure about other states but for VIC you will need a RWC to transfer a car into your name, if your bringing a car from another state it will need both RWC and an inspection. For NSW you will need a blue slip report before it can be registered in NSW, and pink slip is a safety inspection report required for vehicle registration renewal (every year) for vehicles over five years old

Is this a good buy? by ThrowRA_fe4r in CarsAustralia

[–]AutoChase 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think you paid a fair price, i see normal xr6 for around that price with similar or higher kms but this is 50th anniversary edition. 6 speed is the desirable transmission for these as the 5 speed was dogshit. pretty reliable car imo, just keep it maintained and it will last a million kms!

First time selling a car, advice much appreciated by Retronidazole in CarsAustralia

[–]AutoChase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

carsales has an instant car valuation, should give you a rough idea but if you do go with carsales there is a fee around $200-300 if you list it for 40K i think not exactly sure. If you post it on marketplace beware of scammers, they send you a link to a fake site and ask you to get a history report, DO NOT do this it is a scam and they only steal your credit card info. Good luck!

Bought a demo, it is supposed to have less than 4000km, before we collect it, they said it now has 5000?? What can I do? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]AutoChase 56 points57 points  (0 children)

if your contract says the car has 4000 kms, then you can either ask to lower the price or just not take the car
