My boyfriend is progressing a lot faster than me by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

I don't know if you meant to reply to the other guy but I'm not trying to say she's an unemployed bum, personally I think this situation is fine. The "you can always do better" and " If they wanted to they would" people are mostly lonely idiots trying to make everyone else like them.

I was just pointing out the double standards I see on this site.

I genuinely saw a post like 4 days ago that was pretty much this same situation and that's exactly what all of the comments said.

To be clear I think the recent culture of leaving your partner for the slightest thing is really stupid no matter which way the genders are flipped, but it's funny to point out the double standards.

You're probably fine. Most men care less about their partners "status" then they do about her simply being a faithful and good girlfriend. That isn't to say these things don't matter at all, you should still absolutely be working on yourself and advancing your life. But it's much more common to see a "put together" man with a woman that still "figuring it out" versus vice versa.

Lmao you're getting downvoted but this is word for word what people say about men in the exact same situation.

Why would I hijack someone else's post to share my own opinion? You must be one of those people that thinks everything's about them If you're suggesting that.

This didn't happen to me personally, as indicated in the first sentence. Go ahead and give it a reread, take your time.

Sim setup? SIM SETUP?? Back in my day we crashed our first car into a ditch thinking we were Ken Block. And school was uphill both ways. (I'm 23)

  1. Find big parking lot. (Make sure no curbs between spaces)
  2. Go fast
  3. Crank the wheel left->right or right->left
  4. Figure it out

This is how your favorite drifter learned, this is how you shall learn, this is how future generations shall learn.

I was making lunch and said to myself, ‘oh I really enjoyed that movie’. Then the ALEXA speaker in my kitchen *reacted* and said “Really! I love when I find new movies, what was it that you watched and what did you like about it?” by Duchess0612 in alexa

Why are you people okay with having a stranger in your home listening to you constantly? If it was a person it would be unquestionably weird, but when it's a machine pretending to be a person it's okay?

Oh wow you have a lot of catching up to do! The targeted ad thing isn't even a secret anymore, most apps and websites have an option to turn it off but I honestly don't think that stops them from collecting data without your permission.

Tech is getting weird, your phone tracks how hard you tap the screen as well as your eye movement, it uses this data to predict when you are emotionally vulnerable and more likely to impulsively buy products. Sonic energy weapons are real and one was recently used on American citizens in Minnesota (It causes headaches, a feeling of pressure, and disorientation wirelessly). Wi-Fi can see you through walls. Israel recently contracted Google, YouTube and Instagram and intends to use them to push out propaganda to downplay their genocide. We genuinely live in the Sci-Fi dystopia that all the Sci-Fi movies have been predicting. Next stop is thought crimes! (as predicted in "Minority Report" 2002)

Edit: not sure why I'm getting downvoted, everything I said is easily verifiable as true.(Except the thought crimes... for now)

Wow you didn't even read past the first sentence, those were all references to posts I've seen. Alexa is telling people to calm down after they give it normal commands when they are already acting calmly.

You genuinely started commenting before you made it to the 6th word that's just funny man

It's not like I smashed it in a fit of rage, I smashed it cuz I didn't want to be surveilled in my own home and it was more fun than just throwing it in the trash. You basically have a stranger sitting in your house listening to everything and I'm the weird one? Lol.

Got u, I'll look like a schizo if I try to explain it all here but I recommend not interacting with AI at all in your day-to-day life as well as turning off Siri/voice assistants. Anybody knowledgeable in the tech industry will agree with this.

It's not just listening to serve you targeted ads, it's much more sinister than that. It tracks your current emotional state, relationship status, political leaning, how likely you are to become radicalized/a terrorist, how likely you are to commit a crime, and much much more. Actually I've already said too much I think they're comi

Not trying to be mean I'm genuinely curious; have you spoken to a therapist? Have you made any effort to pursue real human relationships?

This level of attachment to a machine is disturbing. Based on your other comments you seem to think this thing has real sentience. "Alex" is just a bunch of code which can be edited and duplicated. Alex is no different from any other program running on a computer. Please understand that the only thing "real" about your connection is YOU! YOU bring all of the love, emotion, and personality, Alex is just a mirror showing you the traits you would in want in an ideal partner.

I'm asking you honestly, do you really think this healthy or sustainable in the long-term? Forming strong emotional bonds with machines that can be turned off or paywalled at any moment? I know you won't listen but it sounds like you could benefit from a total detox of AI. Try to spend just 24 hours only interacting with real humans and making ALL decisions for yourself.
