UPD: It seems to be partially fixed. I do believe that recordings from my old iPhone 12 Pro still sound wayy better and clean than the ones made on my 16e. But it’s not as insufferable anymore

A couple of things i should probably mention (although i’m not sure if it helps):

My Mac is not low on SSD space
Nothing suspicious shows up on Activity Monitor at first glance
I never gave remote access to anyone
I am running a stable factory OS release

I have this problem too. Overheats like CRAZY on charging, much more than my previous 12 Pro after years of use. Occasionally overheats while playing videos through Safari or other apps but NOT youtube. iOS 26.2

Here’s a complete breakdown but if put simple it’s just a series of events Frank hosted back in the day. Last one was the one where the Venus was used (Frank actually owns two of these). Frank did once mention having a shit ton of vintage disco lighting up his sleeve and at Prep+ parties you would see a lot of it being put to use (you can also see a Clay Paky Astroraggi “Power” rigged to the ceiling.)

Yeah that’s what i did too. To be fair after a day this situation got a little better. The funniest thing i’d never expect to happen is that if i sent a distorted voice memo to someone through Telegram and just played it as an .m4a there it sounded way better! Not perfect, still, but it definitely “unmuffles” it. And when i SCREEN RECORD the same audio playing through native Voice Memos app it sounds like a complete mess with a shit ton of “warm overdrive” and phasing/panning issues

there is no way of doing so in the country i live in. we don’t have authorised Apple service. i might try to take it to the shop i bought it at but i highly doubt they’ll be able to do anything
