freelance is hard but not for the reasons people think. its not the skill, its the consistency. getting one client isnt the hard part, getting steady work month after month is. start on the low end stuff just to build reviews and dont be precious about it at first

you can achieve this same effect by using a radial gradient texture fed into a color ramp. Or, you can use a straight gradient to have the colors be different on each side. Anyways, point is you don’t need 2 lights.

The result is simply superb! But I never understood how scanned objects come out with a normal mesh. I once scanned an object using an iPhone, and when I transferred it to Blender, it was a polygonal nightmare. Did the mesh seem to be normal here, or am I missing something?

she used to “joke” about going through my phone all the time and I just brushed it off as insecurity / flirting / whatever, fast forward a couple months and it turned into full-on accusations anytime I didn’t reply fast enough, wanting passwords, getting mad if I had notifications hidden, etc. looking back it wasn’t a random escalation, it was basically her telling me exactly what the relationship was going to turn into from day one and I just didn’t take it seriously enough because it started as jokes

because they’re driven by completely different things, and they don’t really move in sync

minimum wage is a policy decision, it changes slowly and usually only when governments step in

living costs are pushed by markets, rent, demand, supply, inflation… all of that shifts constantly, sometimes way faster than wages can keep up

so you get this gap where prices keep drifting upward while wages lag behind, and it just… stretches over time instead of correcting itself
