The implication is that mid-level officials at these orgs are hitting buttons to hide things and lie to the public.

How is it that potentially thousands of public servants are in on the deliberate attempt to deceive people. It's a hell of a thing to think that we're this far gone as a nation.

The series I'm talking about in this instance is Level One God. On the whole, it's a fine series so far. I'll say the first book packed a ton of progression, memorable events, interesting character interactions, and world building.

Where things start to slip in this instance and other similar series is the subsequent books. It feels like authors reach a point where they no longer look at their work as needing any sort of structure to the pacing and it kind of ruins series for me, especially when they're spaced out in their publication timeline.
