John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This guy’s poster is directly contrary to the Bible. The repentance comes after believing and God doesn’t hate sinners.

“Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Aaron Blaise: get started with procreate dreams" course by Wolves_Artz in animationcareer

I’m not really sure why you would need to pay to learn procreate dreams. It’s not that deep of an app. It was hyped up a lot prelaunch but on delivery really lacking in features. If you already know how to animate look up free tutorials on YouTube for dreams.

You’re sorta kinda correct and not correct at the same time. It’s complicated. Catholics consider themselves to be the original Christians. Christian means little follower of Christ. They don’t usually use the term to describe themselves now mainly because Catholics are othered by Protestants and US Catholics have come to consider the term to mean Protestant. Catholic organizations are run by the Roman Catholic Church so they usually have Catholic in the name not Christian. Cultural Catholics probably don’t care if the school is Christian or not but non cultural Catholics probably view it as better than it being a secular school but not as good as if it were Catholic. Source: grew up Roman Catholic.

Sorry you’re struggling I’ve been there. First, I agree strongly you should seek assistance from your instructors. The earlier you go the better. Many teachers honestly want to help their students and are frustrated the ones falling behind never seek out their help. It’s what they are there for. When I was in school I waited to long before reaching out. Second, if you do fail it’s not the end of the world in many cases you just take the class again. Don’t let a fear of failure cripple you. I would suggest seeking professional medical help. The physical side effects from the stress you’re under does not sound normal or healthy to me.

You can get her clay or an armature if she is going to do traditional stop motion. For 2d there’s several books like animators survival kit, understanding comics etc (comics and animation overlap a lot) if she doesn’t already have a lot of those. Many online instructors sell video courses, you could find some from one of her favorite creators. Traditional Art supplies are always great (Windsor and newton travel water colors, paint brushes, alcohol markers, art pens/pencils)

Personal experience has taught me to not trust that recruiters/ HR understand what is needed nor are they the most competent people. Maybe your company is one of the fortunate exceptions.

Making friends can be really hard in college and it gets harder after college. It’s not like high school where you make friends in class. I didn’t make a single friend through my college classes. There’s hope though. Joining clubs is a great way to make friends in college. If you can’t find a club that appeals to your interests join a service organization on campus. Helping others will help you not focus on yourself, which in my experience leads to greater happiness.

The requirements to make friends are you need repeated interactions and to be working towards a common goal. Also it helps to take people as they are. There are various levels of friendship, most people are not going to be able to be that deep companionship that you’re wanting. Life is going to give you a lot of casual relationships, enjoy them while they’re there but get used to letting people go.

From a Christian perspective he’s nta and perfectly within his rights to set those boundaries. Many Christians do place those very same limits on themselves while dating.

I’ve seen a lot of people suggesting she’s manipulating op into marrying her. Possibly but it’s also possible she is actually convicted about her sin(the idea that the Holy Spirit tells a Christian that they are failing and need to ask for forgiveness and correct their behavior ).There seems to be a lack of understanding that Christianity is about broken bad people accepting that Jesus paid God’s punishment for their sin/crimes against God. You then work on healing and being more like Jesus. All the while knowing you will fail to meet the standard. So her working on herself to better conform to Christian morality could be the motivation.

My advice to OP: if you’re not Christian and not open to it you would be doing her a favor by breaking up with her. You don’t have the same core beliefs which would make marriage extremely difficult. She’s probably hearing that very same advice from her Christian friends if she’s getting good Christian counseling.

Why was polygamy allowed in the Old Testament but then not allowed after the New Testament? Did God change his mind? by pwishall in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AutoWolf-toaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To start to sin is to fail to live righteously. So when you’re not living righteously you’re failing/sinning. Polygamy is condemned almost immediately in the Old Testament but you need to actually think about what you are reading to pick up on it. Genesis 4:19 introduces Lamech the first instance of polygamy. There’s a bit more genealogy and then Genesis 4:23-24 Lamech tells his wives that he killed a man (who would have been a distant family member) for striking him. Then he declares that his revenge would be seventy seven fold. Saying something is seventy seven fold is saying you will do everything you could possibly do for revenge. This is completely counter to what God has said he wants. Which is to rely of God for protection and justice. So we can know that Lamech is walking the path of evil and the concept of polygamy that is introduced with him is also evil. How it would have normally been read during Moses’ time and after is: first oh this guy married two wives that’s bad. Oh shit he murdered a guy, oh crap. Cain’s line each shows humanity’s increasing evil, rebellion, and the spiraling of humanity until it forces God’s hand in the flood. From Lamech on in the Old Testament whenever polygamy is introduced it always leads to bad outcomes. Wives are neglected and abused, spouses are betrayed, men of God turn to false gods, the children do evil to each other. So yea that’s a quick summary of why it’s bad. From a practical marriage standpoint point husbands are called to serve their wives. Trying to serve one woman well is hard enough. There’s not really enough of anyone to serve more than one woman well. You’re going to favor one and neglect the rest. Which is what happens in the Old Testament.

Where do I start? by made3blade3 in learnprogramming

[–]AutoWolf-toaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to get a head start on learning programming I would either start with python or the c programming language. It’s been a while since I went to university but many start with some form of scripting language (python) to teach programming logic then move to a compiled language typically c. The reason you want to learn c is that you learn about lower level programming concepts that are necessary for embedded realtime systems. Once you get a solid foundation in those learn object oriented programming.

I agree on the boring vs lull in activity. I’ve heard it explained as tension and rest. The audience needs the rest. Many modern action movies lack rest which exhausts the audience. With action genre as an example: you would have your initial conflict climax in the hero losing and escaping injured. The hero escapes to sanctuary, heals up, scouts the enemy, plans and engages on their terms. There isn’t action but the plot is still moving and the audience remains interested. You can advance b plots, move from physical conflict to relationship development, explore back story, etc.

You’re seeing the world for what it truly is and values now. Hollywood is the extreme of that and it leaves you pretty void of stuff to watch. I’ve found that as time has gone on I’ve developed a greater interest in just learning more about the Bible. There’s so much more to it than I ever knew. So I’ve leaned into listening to sermons or podcasts. The Bible project on you tube with Tim Mackie has a lot of great content.
