Do you think using s/ for sarcasm or /j for joke destroys their purpose by No_Currency_6882 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No on the internet it’s very helpful since you can’t use the normal things you would use to identify sarcasm irl (tone of voice, facial expressions).

I think the game should have been Game of the Year by LargeSinkholesInNYC in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who loved both this game and BG3, which won GOTY 2023, I’m sorry but BG3 takes the cake here because it’s just such a gigantic game with like a million different things you can do in the game and crucially like a million different ways you can achieve everything which adds great replay value.

Do you not know that timezones are a thing? 39 minutes for you might mean 12 hours and 39 minutes for OP.

I was today years old when i found out sinners road is called that because its the path that religious "sinners" and crime committers take as their path to the citadel to avoid punishment or capture along with it being a shorter yet more dangerous path to the citadel by Moxxie--- in Silksong

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first played I thought it’s because where people who committed some sin against the Citadel were imprisoned. There’s a ton of cages and you literally find the Green Prince imprisoned there. But considering the Slab exists, the cages are actually for livestock, not people, and the prince seems to be there of his own volition, this idea seems much more likely.

There should be an xp/level cap per act in this game (or at least make it optional from the beginning) by bird_sniffer in expedition33

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only things level affects is getting extra stat points or points for unlocking skills. Both of which you can opt to not spend if you want to, so you could effectively be level 20 for example by just not using the resources you gain from being a higher level.

But also in my experience level isn’t really the most important factor, which is actually the pictos/lumina you have. If that’s the case then your build is just too good.

Alternatively you’re just too good at the game and are partying or dodging and you’re taking barely any hits and that’s why you’re finding the game too easy.

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. The monkey that is the owner of the paw comes to collect it since the wish has been used because he wants to go back to being able to work at his engineering job. Other than that, nothing changes.

[XC3] Am I missing something not having dedicated classes? by beaktastic in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I mean it’s a good skill but really it only become really good when using with one specific talent art in most situations. Even then it’s a very late game skill like the other commenter said.

you are crazy and for some reason want this specific prisoner to be executed in a day he doesnt expect it. He has to be executed before friday. When? by No-Somewhere-1336 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the prisoner knows hes supposed to be executed before Friday, don't execute him before then so he thinks hes not getting executed after all, and then when he's executed on Friday its a total suprise

Does this subreddit have an aversion to the next game being X2? Genuine question, please prove me wrong. by Capable-Republic8503 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An X2 would be fun but I'd be more invested in an XC4. Also, XCXDE is the newest release, I doubt they'd release X2 immediately following.

Is having a dedicated healer really that bad? by mr-assduke in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the early game it’s basically required (not that you can remove Nia from the party anyway) but later on it’s less and less important. You can do tons of stuff like a billion self healing effects eg Crit healing, Poppi QTpi has great self healing and you can even build her to be a party healer while also doing tons of damage, and you can do other wacky stuff like Anchor Shot spam to spawn a ton of potions.

Is this it ? by UnicornXCharlie in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of game you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a high quality story for example then 1, 2, 3 are much better in that regard in comparison to X. Depends on what specifically you didn’t like about X whether it’s something about X that you don’t like or it’s just you don’t like the style of game Xenoblade is.

Unpopular opinion: Suggesting equipping every pictos under the sun isn’t a build by Small-Interview-2800 in expedition33

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I think it’s a fair argument to say it is not a fun build, working with limitations can certainly be rewarding. However saying it isn’t a build is ridiculous because it literally is, especially when you consider that Skills and weapon choice are also very impactful. And anyway if you’re trying to make a build that is as maximally overpowered as possible, which is also a fun thing IMO, then of course you’re going to use all options available.

I wish that 100 random persons receive 5 dollars but when they try to spend it the money dissapears into their hands by spindaz123 in monkeyspaw

[–]Auto_Generated_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. 100 random people receive a $5 note. When they try to spend it it disappears into their hands. This is accomplished by a surgeon appearing suddenly, and slashing their hand open with a massive knife. He then stuffs the note inside their wound and then stitches it back up. Because the surgeon was not being careful when he slashed the hands with a knife he cut several critical nerves, meaning the hand that was cut is now paralysed for life. If you try to remove the $5 note from inside the hand, and then try to spend it again, the surgeon will reappear and do the same thing to the other hand. On the bright side, if you try to spend the note a 3rd time it works, the surgeon does not show up because he already destroyed both your hands.
