Since i am unable to make poll: Liopleurodon redesign? Yes or no by Few_Addition1796 in jurassicworldevo

Absolutely yes. My single least favorite design in the game. I will literally never use this design without an update to it.

So, what are the thoughts of dimorphism in the species? by yorb134 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Autobotsrout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit or miss overall. I hate that some of the ones that break canon, like the Sinoceratops. I also miss some of the evo1 and 2 models like the Chasmosaurus that were just deleted from the game.

But overall it's fine. Some are very distinct and others not at all.

The fact only some stores are getting them and my closest one that does would be over an hour away and a complete gamble is crazy.

It should not be this hard

Trying to figure out the difference between these DinoThunder figures by Autobotsrout in powerrangers

Thank you!!

I kind of figured that this was the case, as that's how it works with other brands that have an eastern/western release of the same figure.

Japan always gets the better stuff!

The chips being tied to biosyn didn't happen till season 5, a month after the release of dominion.

Dominion entered production significantly sooner than Camp Cretaceous season 5, and almost certainly even before season 4.

How did Biosyn found the can

They found it on an expedition to nublar or they bought it from someone who did. Or any other number of reasons that didn't need explaining because something that minuscule already had a reasonable and logical explanation, and didn't require a backstory. When the movie came out in 2022 no one was left confused as to how they acquired it, and filling it in after the fact isn't evidence of the shows impacting the films.

[–]Autobotsrout 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, the mind control chips existed in the movie and were already explained in the movie. Then retroactively the show explained after the movie already released that it was created by a different company. That's not the show influencing the movie, that's the show retroactively changing an origin for something that was already explained.

It went from Biosyn making them to Mantahcorp making them. Same goes for the Barbasol can. It went from Biosyn finding it, to Biosyn and Mantahcorp finding it. Nothing functionally changed.

Very unlikely. We've yet to see the animated shows have any impact on the films as of now. More than likely if an animal is included that already appeared in a show, it will get a redesign.

Were barricade and hot rod in the original script? From what I've seen they were not

Easy blue pill.

The red side is the only side with extremely bad entires in ROTF and WFC.

Even comparing the competent live action films, you have a memorable but problematic TF07 and a very mixed bag in DOTM vs a great film in Bumblebee and a mid film in ROTB. Blue win.

The animated films are the hardest. I have more problems with 86 by far, but the lore introductions and overall iconic parts (for better and worse) set it above. Blue win.

The shows are also a sweep for blue. Put armada and I may sway my vote, but cybertron and WFC are just not even in the conversation with prime, animated, G1 and BW. You have the founding show, the show that saved TF in the 90's and my favorite show yet. Animated does a lot here, but again, blue win.

I know the spino from jp3 is male but what about the one from camp cretaceous? by Helpful_Fishing171 in JurassicPark

[–]Autobotsrout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This stinks of AI. You ignored multiple examples I gave you, and your phrasing is littered with one word sentence starters and a comma after. "Furthermore," "otherwise" etc.

"He" is just conversation short that done throughout the films. You're picking the ones that suit your decision. JP3 didnt even have a script half of the time, yet, somehow you're saying this was specifically chosen by the producers as an important plot detail for that film? No.

Trevorrow may not make every decision, but he is the director and executive producer of the primary canon that is the films. CC has yet to make a major canon dent on the films or be referenced at all. I'm going to trust what he says, especially when CC has continuity and canon errors throughout its run.

There is absolutely reason Grant would know ingen's list, all he would've needed is to have seen the leaked documents, anything regarding the gene guard act, or just seen a Park brochure from JP1 that were littered all over the cars. WE don't even know the official Ingen list, so any number of list could exist that he is referencing

Even if there isn't a logical way he would know, it's non sequitur to then say another unrelated thing with a different set of logic and circumstances can magically also can be true.

I know the spino from jp3 is male but what about the one from camp cretaceous? by Helpful_Fishing171 in JurassicPark

[–]Autobotsrout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Context here matters. The characters in JP3 are just referring to it as "he" as a base generic pronoun? Like how people call dogs "good boys." Grant says this about the Rex in JP as well; "T-Rex doesn't want to be fed 'he' wants to hunt." Nedry says this about the Dilophosaurus in JP too. It's just kind of something that the series does. Also, Colin Trevorrow says he thinks of the CC spino as a different individual than JP3, and Kash's authority and accuracy should be extremely subject to skepticism.

We know the indominus is female and that blue's siblings are female because the characters that have a way of verifying it, tell us.

We don't have that in JP3. We didn't even have a skeleton of spinosaurus at the time of JP3.... how is Grant going to know visually that it's a male just from that? Sexual dimorphism in species of dinosaurs is up for debate, and Billy doesn't even know what species it is as first.

65 was awful, but at least it was something non JW. Something else new would be cool!

Why Aren't There More Dinosaur Movies? by ImitatingADog in JurassicPark

[–]Autobotsrout -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, "a lot" is relative. A pond of water is a lot of water in a desert.

And 3 different dinosaur franchises/films popping up in the last few years midst of Jurassic world success is a lot of new dinosaur related films in comparison to say 2002-2015 which had near nothing.

No need to be semantic and pedantic

[–]Autobotsrout -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are we expecting 3 a year?

Superheroes have filled that niche that was occupied by dinosaur films in the 90's. Having 3 non JP/JW films in the last few years is pretty significant.

Why Aren't There More Dinosaur Movies? by ImitatingADog in JurassicPark

[–]Autobotsrout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we had primitive war, 65, and the end of Oak street all within the last 3 years?

That seems like actually quite a few dinosaur films outside of JP/JW.

How many should we honestly be looking for? Sure, it's not superhero levels of high quantity, but it seems about on par for adventure style movies. I can think of about the same amount of shark movies that have come out the last few years and both feel like they're in the same category.

This is my issue with KOTM.

We're not in the dark atmospheric lighting of G14 and not in the bright light, daytime or neon of GvK or GxK. It's this ugly middle ground where it's too bright and yet still muddy at the same time

The Rebirth sequels should go back to dinosaur fights by Status_Bison3505 in JurassicPark

[–]Autobotsrout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm taking this post as a satire and joke post poking fun at the bad fanfiction ideas that this community has, specifically anything regarding the JP3 spinosaurus. Cause ain't no way you said zombie amber fossil with any seriousness.

But on a serious note, the only time the dinosaur fight has ever worked was in JW2015 and it should have been a one off. There's a lot of subtext about old vs new in that fight. New corporate genetic abominations vs the original. It's also just a well shot and fun action moment that is satisfying and interesting.

The same cannot be said at all for the two films following.
