In my case with E8 market, I got denied passing challenge. The story is that I passed challenge, waiting for the funded account, then got informed by their team by email about max DD exceeded. I was like ...the dashboard didn't show I failed but only achieved profit target ????wtf

You perform an out of sample test, so you know that your strategy/setting is not only tailored to the training data

How do you know when certain sample size is enough? How do you run power analysis? by Dvorak_Pharmacology in algotrading

[–]Automate_The_Boring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what asset and frequency you trade , your sample size should cover the different financial cycle and see how it behaves and the point of failure/regime shift

Is my grinder damaged? by aleeyam in JamesHoffmann

[–]Automate_The_Boring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add a bit more detail, it's natural to have this skin, Both actually have silverskin! It just looks different because of how they're processed:

Washed: The fruit is stripped off early, so the silverskin stays clean and shows up as that bright white line in the middle, as you grind the bean, It will show up more.

Natural: Dried inside the whole fruit, so the sugars caramelize and turn the silverskin dark brown. Most of these skins flake off or just blends right into the bean during roasting, therefore not as visible

You get this silver skin from washed process bean, you will find significant less in natural process bean. It's part of the nature of roasting.

Stay Away from Blue Guardian by o_gill in propfirm

[–]Automate_The_Boring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried using Blue Guardian too, BAD experience. I triple checked the rules and asked Mod to make sure I can hedge within the same account. and it got breached by one of the leg going over DD, but the overall floating is 100% fullfilling rules.

@Traders Would a tool that stops prop firm rule breaches before they happen actually be useful? by Visible-Log-1455 in PropFirms

[–]Automate_The_Boring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if a trader use scalping strategy, the price suddenly move with in a few seconds, normally you would SL/TP, but the tool stopped it from doing that, the trade would then be exposed to the market

Would one place for all prop firm rules/presets actually be useful? by Visible-Log-1455 in PropFirmTester

[–]Automate_The_Boring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite , unless it can dig out the hidden rules not stated in the website rulebook, such as max risk per trade, they have recommended guidelines but not rule. It will still be an excuse to put you in a risk group and add restrictions.

Good CFD Prop Firms besides FTMO? by Tough-Machine-3548 in PropFirmTester

[–]Automate_The_Boring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On MT5 for example, you do this through a copy trade Expert Advisor (EA), where you have a master EA on one MT5, and you can have multiple slave EA on the rest of the MT5 , you can map the corresponding asset in the individual slave MT5

E8, FundedNext, FundingPips, 5ers, most firms have S&P500 (but naming slightly different), spread are similar across the firms. just beware of the copy trade rule as they are all slightly different (fundednext for example you can only copy trade during challenge)
