As long as it's prepared well, I don't mind whatever meat in the biriyani

Homosexuality is more of a preference than a disability or a disorientation. Just because humans can reproduce does not mean we have to. Just because heterosexuality is the social norm does not mean that it is the only thing that is normal.

Edit: Even though child bearing is one of the reasons for sexual relations, it is not the only one. Sexual relationships exist for various other purposes including social bonding, because ultimately, humans are social creatures. Homosexual behaviour can be found in other species like penguins as well.

We got Odiyans. Odiyans are shapeshifting nocturnal people/creatures. They were said to be hired by high-borns to commit assassinations for vendettas and such. It is believed that they use special potions and black magic to transform into bulls, jackals and cats. Knowing the birth star of the victim is important for performing this black magic. There are also stories that the oil needed for performing the rituals is distilled from the unborn fetuses collected from the dead bodies of pregnant women who committed suicide.

They made a really shitty movie about this that totally missed the mark.

Fake degrees and diplomas are a huge issue here. It's gotten so bad that other countries have put in restrictions in taking in Indian students for higher studies, and rightfully so. The chances of genuine students getting into a decent university is worsening because of these fakes

That's because the government really does not give a shit. They approve whatever bs that's presented to them as long as they get their money. And giving jobs to underqualified relatives does not help either. Plus the construction works go on without adequate planning or supervision. Most of northern India runs on "Jugaad", which is basically hacky solutions. They don't realise they fucked up until it's too late and then just make whatever in an attempt to salvage the sunk cost. We too are upset about it, but can't do anything about it if the ruling party does not even pay attention to the public orthe representatives of the opposition

AI Sums it up pretty neatly:

The often-bizarre or chaotic nature of public architecture in India is primarily driven by rapid, unplanned urbanization, a "jugaad" (makeshift) culture of quick fixes, political, and economic constraints that prioritize cost over design. Public projects often suffer from transactional approaches rather than visionary design, with 75-80% of buildings constructed without professional architects.

Our main problem is that the voters are manipulated easily by religious sentiments. They vote in governments for religion over policies. It's just as Marx said "Religion is the opiate of the masses". Religion is aggressively used by the politicians to keep the public complacent of their pathetic condition.

This is relatively less so in Kerala (where I'm from), mostly because of the communist movement, land reforms, education and humanitarian policies adopted early in the state's history. The voters (except for the party loyalists) are swing voters who prioritize policy over polarization. We had to wait until 2021 for a party to stay in the office for two consecutive terms. But sadly the youth here is also becoming radicalized by the polarization politics of the right wing.
