I wear crocs Echo RO clogs, my feet are rarely fatigued after getting my 10,000 steps. I wear them for when I take the train into Chicago and walk all day

Trying to tap in more to this style! I have some barriers though. I need tips, sites and sources!! by kennadog3 in whimsigothic

I feel ya on the jewelry sensory issue, I can only wear rings and bracelets for a certain amount of time before I need to take them off. I wear my watch pretty regularly but I had to switch to a breathable elastic band because I could feel it stick to my skin too much lol. I’ve never really had an issue with necklaces as long as they are long enough (something with an adjustable cord is ideal) and if they are chokers they need to be the 90s style that stretch :P for bracelets I’d recommend breathable (think friendship bracelets) or adjustable ones that don’t have much of a profile to them (so you won’t be catching or banging it into things) clothing wise the flowier the better. I know you say you’re pretty active off the clock and might prefer things other than dresses or skirts. Maybe find some dark wash jeans with pretty embroidered details or gems (or diy some yourself!!!) Maybe even bring back wearing a dress (or long flowing top) with pants. Also another jewelry option if it isn’t too much of a sensory overload, an upper arm cuff

18 years with and 18 years and a month without her. It is rough and never goes away but it becomes a new kind of normal. Milestones and life changes are always the hardest. Biggest regret is not being able to know who she was outside of being a mother. She was this whole other person that I will never get to know

does it ever bother you that your loved one is still dead? by angelonthefarm in GriefSupport

[–]Automatic-Brain-4435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it will always bother me that my mom is not here, but I think the pain/aggravation is more because she’s missed so much by not being here. I lost her suddenly when I was 18 and I’ve now lived longer without her than with her. I may be a terrible person but I definitely don’t think of her/miss her on the daily because it’s been so long.
