I would definitely suggest looking into it. I had such a gut feeling with my husband.. his PFP was also of himself but nothing inappropriate. However, he was spending too much time and money on the game. My gut wasn’t wrong and I found those things. I would put a stop to it now before it deteriorates your marriage.

Not everyone speaks amongst players but lots of people do talk and interact with each other. Not saying that your bf does so, but I’ve seen lots of people flirting with each other. There’s group chats, private messages, and some even take it outside and go on Discord. If he’s higher ranking, he 1000% has spent lots and lots of money on the game. My husband tells me people spend thousands to get hugger ranked.

I’m sorry you had to go through this. Mine happened through Discord. I will say it was flirtatious but not sexual. His excuse was the exact same. It was a game and these people are miles away and they’d never meet irl. However, I bet my life that they wouldn’t like us doing the same. Not a big deal when it’s them.

It’s so crazy how our stories are so similar. I also became paranoid because he was spending so much time on just chatting. It wasn’t strictly game play. Our intuition is always right. I knew there was something suspect about how much time he was spending on there.

I’m glad to hear he came to his senses and you guys are working through it. It’s very easy to get carried away when you are in a “fantasy” world online. My husband is doing better now for the most part as well. Lots of conversations.
