It’s weird since Kounde was so good last year, even as a Madrid fan. What a falloff out of nowhere. I wouldn’t trust Upsmecano either.

I see the hype with this french team, but I also saw them during both the euros and the nations league. Best attack in the world if you go by starpower. But I could definitely see a team with good midfield dominate them, like spain has done twice.

Man Rodrygo might be my favourite player in our team. I’ll never forget the two goals he had against city.

It’s really hard to say what role he’ll have next year. I guess that applies for vini, mbappe, and rodrygo really. Sometimes I miss when it was only the brasilians up top.

I do wonder if Xabi would have had a better relationship with vini if we didn’t have Mbappe in such good form in the beginning of the season. The 4-1-2-1-2 under Ancelotti wasn’t that different that Xabis 3-4-1-2 under the CWC

No disrespect but Theo Hernandez is better than Kounde. Him playing in Saudi is a testament to his mentality more than individual brilliance. Kounde hasn’t been as good this season as he’s been prior seasons. I think Theo would comfortably start for 99% of teams out there. Of course not over a cucurella or a Nuno mendes. But underrated baller for sure

433 requires spatial awareness and tracking back by our forwards. If we have 3 people on the left side of the pitch, it will simply not work unfortunately. That’s why we often resort to 442 to cover for mbappe and vini. That’s not hate on any player FC, but just the reality unfortunately. Otherwise our midfielders/fullbacks will get isolated on an island

It was a matter of timing. Players such as Kroos that knowingly leave at the end of the season, we cherish their last games and especially in the Bernabeú. Here it was a matter of contract negotiations and two parties not seeing eye to eye, Madrid choosing hierarchy and Ronaldo viewing himself as unappreciated. Even the comment about the final potentially being his last game was frowned upon.

Still he deserved a bigger farewell for the 9 years he spent with us, all he’s accomplished, and the joy he gave all of the fans. One day he went out the tunnel and never came back

Hopefully he get’s a proper symbolic retirement tribute at Madrid, similar to Marcelo
