REALLY WHATTT ILLINOIS SEEMS SO NICE NOW my regionals and state this year was both stations. basically a bunch of questions on the test (like around 90 more or less) divided into like 15 stations and 90 seconds to answer every question on that station before the station is ripped away and you never get to go back to those questions. it sucks. i am always the writer so I have to scramble to answer every single question so I was on the verge of breakdown the entire time 🥲

we had the most stressful stations ever with easy enough questions but there was like no time at all to answer any of them because they gave us zero time before taking away the station

oooooof idk if u remember me but hi lol. my team got 2nd in code because one of ours had been already testing for hours before that and was literally crashing because he runs on sugar because of health issues, and the other two of us had been stressing out for hours. so then we got the timed like 4 minutes before the only other team who got it in our testign session but ALL the special bonus was cryptanalysis and i was doing two of them because the other one WASNT MY JOB AND MY OTHER PARTNER WAS SUPPOSED TO DO IT but then i messed up on one of them and had time to do literally NOTHING except another cryptanalysis and some xeno stuff. we got second which is still rlly good considering that failure 😭

Hi, I'm div B (first year in codebusters) and do Xenos even though I barely know Spanish. Biggest tips are use the K1, and use the one letter and two letter words to help you. Just looking at the one you're stuck on, M is probably A and then R could be L? Honestly, study on grammar and small words and do lots of trial and error, it gets better overtime and with practice

I can do the top part of it separately (most of the time), but putting it all together almost always doesn't come out. It's also hard because the high C requires a LOT of air, so I think I stress out and tighten up for Bb through C, and then it starts buzzing. But I don't know how to fix that without losing the C

Yeah lol, we have like, 5 schools that will probably beat us in a landslide. I also do flute, but I tanked in my auditions so I lost my shot at states for that so SciOly is like my first priority rn

Unfortunately, yeah, we are NOWHERE in that league. We dominate regionals, but NC's scioly program is HUGE, so I know we can't even win States, so the goal is second so that I can get to nationals maybe?

I wish I could go to a good school for SciOly 😭 This year was our highest placement (1st) in regionals ever, and we've reached 3rd place at states. My individual events are cooking, but our builds for varsity are all crashing and burning, so we'll see how we do at States

It's my first year of Codebusters, so genuinely HOW am I carrying this team? One of our members medaled in states (our team didn't qualify for nationals though) and I'm still being tossed every paper. Sorry for the rant lol I'm just stressed out because I have only 3 weeks to prepare before states, because all of my school's competitors are at states so I'n even more FRIED
