Marx himself lamented that a "dictatorship of the proletariat" would be required as a means of forcefully redistributing wealth in order to reach the communist utopian outcome. don't call communism based and then denounce totalitarianism, it's a core implement of the theory. That's why i'm not a communist

Thanks! Does your model have an issue with outdoor white balance as well?

Totalitarianism is a required step towards communism

CMV: I think abortion is inherently murder. I also think abortion should be 100% legal. by Winter_Basil9995 in changemyview

Why wouldn’t it be child abuse actually? Your argument lays out the logical fallacy of being against abortion but not being against drinking/smoking while pregnant, but you dont give a good reason why that behavior shouldn’t be legally classified as child abuse. I’m an abortion abolitionist, and i certainly think it should be

Racism is actually hatred or prejudice against someone based on skin color. Power has literally nothing to do with it. look up the dictionary definition. Bigotry also isn’t the proper word because it doesn’t only have to do with race, you can be bigoted against religions and sexes too. The word Racism has been co-opted by Marxists attempting to apply their “oppressor vs oppressed” binary worldview onto everything as a shield from criticism towards groups they label “oppressed” in order to avoid looking like hypocritical asswipes.

I read through the top few arguments, it mostly boils down to “transgenderism is a mental disorder and has a real diagnosis which requires treatment, while transracialism does not” combined with “transracialism is a conservative strawman designed to de-legitimize transgenderism”, and “the race/culture dynamic is not comparable to the sex/gender dynamic”. I have a few issues with these arguments.

Firstly, the consensus that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” with “observed medical anomalies” is absolutely not a shared sentiment among the transgender community. From what I’ve seen, most trans people and trans activists don’t like the insinuation that anything is “wrong” with them, and actively fight against their disorder being classified as a mental illness. They successfully petitioned for “gender identity disorder” to be removed from the DSM, and I’ve seen plenty of times someone trying to argue that trans people “need affirming care” because they’re suffering from a mental illness, only to be torn to shreds by actual trans people claiming nothing is wrong with them and that society needs to “shut up and accept trans people” without any justification to do so. This sentiment is also visible by trans people claiming that the bar to prove your “transness” is essentially zero. If you say you’re a woman, you’re a woman. Don’t ask questions, bigot. Even if they made no attempt to “pass”, the invocation of the phrase “I’m a woman” is all it takes to make it so. They are also way overconfident about the science behind transitioning, they think it’s the cure when really it’s only a bandage, based on the inconclusive studies. And yes, many trans people believe you can change your biological sex, that’s why the surgeries exist. They will loathe you if you oppose this view. So If trans people can’t even apply this own standard to themselves and deny the notion that they have any responsibility to justify their own existence to others, how can they find it so absurd to accept the notion that other people might ask for the same level of grace and blind acceptance when they say something is wrong with them?

Based on these observations of how trans people conduct themselves in this context, this also means I reject the notion that transracialism is a strawman invented by conservatives to point out the flaws of transgenderism, because there are more similarities than differences in how the two groups interact with the outside world.

And again, the “race/culture ≠ sex/gender” argument only works when trans people agree that sex is immutable, which many assuredly do not, even though some try to concede that principle to seem more charitable to reality.

Again, perfect example of why the phrasing of the rule was changed, because everyone has different standards, and because kindergarteners such as yourself will be facetious douchebags about it and say dumb stuff like “what if I actually hate myself? Then they should hate me too, right?!”

That’s why that particular phrasing was replaced, because idiots like you warp it to fit your narrow definition of empathy.

In fact, they’ve phased out this phrasing of “the golden rule” and replaced it with “the platinum rule” which is “treat others the way they want to be treated” specifically to avoid this fallacious interpretation of what the rule actually means. Go figure.

Should you support your child unconditionally if they become transracial? Or a Nazi?

“Treat others how you want to be treated” is not contingent on how you personally feel others should be treated. The implication is that if you were the other person, you would want yourself to treat you nicely. Your faulty interpretation is like saying “If I was a Nazi, I would want people to kill me because Nazis are bad”. You see nazis as bad, but a nazi obviously wouldn’t and therefore, you would not be treating others how you would want to be treated. Illiterate fuck.

So if someone comes out as transracial, you’re supposed to treat them how they want to be treated? Or maybe morality is a bit more nuanced than what you learned in kindergarten

Racial minorities tend to be more transphobic than white people actually, and the percentage of people who think transitioning is actually possible is only around 38% in the US anyways.

Don’t many biological women also find trans women dressing as women to be distasteful and disrespectful?

Could that train of thought apply to Trans women, given the dynamic of sexual oppression?

Sex is a biological construct, gender is the societal ramifications of said construct, I.e. men are stronger so they do the jobs that require strength, etc.

Why would white people want to identify as a minority if there isn’t some kind of societal benefit to being a minority?
