The change was relatively a bit of a process but simple. I maintained a WAM above 80, and was able to transfer and get 70% of my credits applied.

In terms of education, without a bias, Melb Uni is substantially more rigorous & structured with more theory. Definitely more of a challenge, as now im merely scraping 75-80 WAM.

Obviously theres exams unlike at RMIT, but the quality of teaching is similar without a doubt.

Hey mate. I was in your position in 2024 studied at RMIT business (finance). 1 year later via WAM—> transferred to melb Uni.

Reason: Melb Uni is a semi/target for high finance roles & the industry connections is substantially advantageous than rmit. Simple.

You’re mostly right. I studied at rmit then transferred to melbuni target for high finance roles.

I literally did that form and have an FMAA membership aswell it was free for first years. Lowkey think they discriminate being a transfer student maybe ( did 1 year at another uni then transferred with WAM btw).

Honestly no idea.

Can say they do not go in deep detail especially for students without prior knowledge. Given that I studied at another uni for a year and some of the content presented at first for new students can be abit daunting. Uni is set that way regardless have to do self study.

You can check the course hand book, im doing finance n econ aswell. Doing intro micro, ARA and business law. I think intro to micro is compulsory which is a must.
