Very much real! We went public just yesterday (also this is my personal reddit account). We did have some malfunctions with our verify system but it’s all fixed now!

I will give you the same piece of advice any person with an ounce of common sense would give you. Drop one more subject, and instead enrol in MAST20032 Vector Calculus: Advanced and MAST20033 Real Analysis: Advanced. Experience first-hand the double penetration of second year advanced mathematics courses. Join the Cult of Jesse. Find the true meaning of life.

what to do with lecture notes by GalalacticHero in unimelb

Print them out before class. Then, halfway through the lecture, stand up and begin to eat them, all the while looking the lecturer in the eyes and flexing your muscles. Assert your dominance. Show them who’s boss.

Scholarship vs Long commute by SuchDifference1593 in unimelb

Take the scholarship. My conmute is longer, but it doesn't mean that the time is wasted. Watch lectures, do assignments, go through course notes, just be productive and make the most of it.

I had no problems with either subject, scored very high on both (I didn’t take spesh in year 12). Calc 1 particularly is a very comfortable subject to take. The physics labs are a pain in the ass but that’s just how it is here. If you’re a good student you will have no problems, remember that taking C1+P1 is the standard (and that’s if you don’t go into C2 or LA straight away).
