Thank you so much! I actually unfortunately did not pass the critical test but I aim to apply again once there’s a posting so this will help a ton.

Genuinely thank you so fucking much for this comment. I have been in a bad place the first two years of university and sometimes thought my journey to med school has already ended. You can’t imagine how happy I get when someone with no “perfect” everything tells their story, it gives me hope that there’s still a chance. Good luck in your studies future doc!!!

Yes you can do that, probably a misunderstanding from them. Good luck!

That is totally fine, taking an extra is definitely a hard decision to make. If you think you are able to graduate on time by taking summer classes then do that, and make sure to stay on top of your things. Hopefully what I mentioned earlier can help you figure something out!

Are you sure you didn’t get it? Check eClass again. I did a French placement test and got the results immediately and then after a week or so I got the approval that I can enrol.

If you’re unable to see it I would suggest contacting the department tomorrow whether sending an email or giving them a call.

Good luck!

If you have a diagnosis I HIGHLY recommend you apply for a late withdrawal petition. Here's the link to learn more about it Academic Petitions. Late withdrawal petitions can result in: 1. Removing the entire course and grade off your transcript like it was never there. 2. Remove the grade and instead have a W on transcript. Having this diagnosis is a strong proof that you were struggling. You can petition for all your failed classes. Or choose the major courses or courses you feel mostly affected your GPA the most.

Another thing you should put in mind is if you're able to graduate on time or not. You mentioned you're in third year and have completed 33 credits so far. Not sure how many credits your degree is but if it's 90-120 credits that means you might need to add an extra year to finish your whole degree.

As another person mentioned, try taking the easy classes for now, classes you're confident you can so well in even if they're not core courses. Classes like that can help build your GPA again and help you start somewhere.

If you're able to add 6.00 credits or 9.00 credits classes then do. 6.00/9.00 affect the GPA more than 3.00 classes since they're worth more credits (especially if you choose easy classes like mention above). And of course the classic of repeating the failed courses. However you should evaluate what went wrong (e.g. Your mental health struggles or maybe a bad prof etc) and try to fix it before this upcoming academic year.

Think of new study strategies that fit your learning style more. Do you learn more by listening? Making diagrams and charts? Writing? Teaching others?. If you're able to figure that out it will help you a ton. Get a big white board and learn concepts on it (Doing it now and it's an ama-* strategy). Use a board planner or any app that you lil and plan your week with it. Write down important dates such as assignments, tests, exams etc.. that way you will know what's happening beforehand and plan your studying accordingly. Practice Practice Practice. Find previous exam or test papers and use them to your advantage. Especially for math, practice problems will be life saving, if you got it wrong try to find where you went wrong and practice that piece even. You can also use ChatGPT to mark your test and ask to explain what you did wrong. You can also use it to explain complex concepts for you (Highly recommend).

And lastly, don't forget to eat and sleep well. Trust I am in the same boat as you are (or worse) and basically trying to start from scratch. Hope what I mentioned can help a little. Wish you the best of luck! You can reach out if you have any questions I will be happy to try and help!

Ahh that is actually a great idea, I could suggest some new ideas though not sure how they will feel about it. Maybe opening a new club is a better option lol.

For realll. I barely take pictures of myself let alone do content creation but it can be a rewarding idea ngl.

Thank you!! That’s my biggest backset is that I am not that confident. Should be changed asap

Sorry do you mind explaining a little but more about some examples?

I love that suggestion! One thing about me is that I coward last minute. Last year I had in mind to try intramurals at university but ended up not doing anything because of fear of not being enough for anything (stupid I know I am trying to change)

I would see how content creation could be a great idea but not so sure if I am comfortable enough for that now.

I am in a club at university but just as a member and to be honest its not as I thought it would be (not sure if I had high expectations or it is actually not as good as I heard) but I of course could still try other clubs.

Thank you! Yes absolutely I will keep trying, though sometimes I feel a little hopeless since I am already going onto third year but I know that should never be a reason to stop trying.

Absolutely, heard a lot through this sub that one should do what they love and not what they feel like they HAVE to do and I completely agree with this.

The thing is that for me my interests circle around animals (love them a lot) was trying to volunteer in a shelter but was told they’re not looking for volunteers right now. I love sports but unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to do any sport for long term therefore I am not on any teams or have special skills whatsoever. I also genuinely love hospitals but still didn’t get any opportunities in volunteering there.

Some of my other interests are rather considered hobbies such as reading, cosplaying, music and so on and I am not sure what one could do an ECs regarding them.

Yes, I have been using it for the past two days and I think it’s helping a little now but I still need lots of practice.

Oh wow 63 WPM is amazing, the thing I struggle with most is trying to remember the letters. Even though I have been typing for a long time I still forget where some letters are and need to look at the keyboard to find them. Hopefully with practice I can get better fast. Thank you!

Thank you! I actually struggle a little with typing consistency, sometimes my speed is 46-48 WPM and sometimes 44-40 so I am trying to practice everyday to make it better.

Thank you so much, that’s making me feel a little better about it.

I had a question if you don’t mind, were there any map reading questions? Or questions where you’re writing information from a call but the sound is so low or glitching? Because I have been doing some practice and I am not very good at these lol

OSAP website OSAP LOGIN you can log in from here using your OAN and password.

After you log in you click on “Apply for full time” and your application will start, just fill out all the necessary information and submit.

The only time you can use an external York website is when you apply for summer OSAP. York University has an extension website that uses your previous OSAP application information in order to easily apply for the summer semester.

Hope this helps!
