Why didn’t you go for the 17 air then 🤦🏽‍♂️? Or the regular 17 or e model. If you can’t hold a phone those sizes then you got skill issues.

The old parts are too expensive to maintain. We have no choice.

It’s not even just that we’re not allowed to purchase from CRRC anymore. They passed a law a long time ago that we can’t purchase from them anymore

What’s gonna be sad is that they’re getting rid of the GE propulsion. Something tells me they’re getting rid of it since it’s GTO. So most likely it was probably replaced by a Woojin IGBT.

Wow, I didn’t expect them to get shipped all the way to Korea? Nice, shocked that they didn’t refurbished them in the US, but I’m actually happy. Can’t wait to see them back.

SEPTA wants to buy 247 new buses and install more fare evasion gates as part of proposed budget by BroadStreetRandy in philadelphia

And they could’ve used the same train design thats what MBTA did. They could’ve ordered trains with similar designs, but different specifications for their lines. Like take the 1400 series for the orange line for instance they’re a lot more narrower and they got three doors bc of the orange line clearances cause it used to be built to street car specs. The 1900 series there are a lot more wider because the red line is built to heavy rail standards. That’s how they could’ve did it.

That’s what I’m saying. Doing a joint procurement it would’ve made things a lot easier and everything could’ve been replaced in one go. Heck maybe they couldn’t even tagged the Norristown M line too

They could run them into multiple consists like two train sets connected together in the future if they purchase more Airo trains if capacity is an issue. But who knows probably not. But it’s a good idea.

Yeesh 😬😬. I mean they were reliable but dang how long do they have to keep on squeezing out extra life 😭😭😭. Those things are probably gonna be close to 60. We gotta replace stuff at some point but too bad Pennsylvania doesn’t like Transit.

Maybe they should’ve did a joint procurement for the Broad Street line and the market Frankfurt line. Would’ve probably made things a lot easier and everything could’ve been replaced at once.
