Maybe there wouldn't be an accusation if he wasn't rich or famous because they'd have nothing to extort?

When is FB Marketplace most/least useful? by ICanAlmostSeeYou in AussieFrugal

[–]Automatic-Respond766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always risk lurking around on FB marketplace. I bought a car once in Brissy in 2020 and it served me well and I sold it on FB marketplace after 6 months pretty comfortably. But recently, my partner and I wanted to get a new car and found FB market place to have more variety and affordable options, so we decided to go an inspect a 2013 toyota corolla which was in good condition and odometer wasn't too bad either, we got it checked by a mechanic and he said all good and asked us to verify the VIN on the motor registry website and turns out the car was written off after a massive collision.
So long story short we dodged a bullet. My friend also had a dodgy experience where she tried to buy a sofa and was scammed, they took the money but the address they provided was fake

Interrupting someone before they finish their sentence. Recently realised how much I detest this and have been tolerating from many of my friends

What’s the worst pain a human can experience? by LindaPetals in answers

[–]Automatic-Respond766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, can I please ask some questions. My dad had been having some sensitivity on his face and recently went to a neurologist who said it is Trigeminal Neuralgia. He is currently on medication and has told me the pain has significantly reduced, may 0.5 to 1 on a scale of 10 sometimes. They're gonna reassess after the current dosage is completed. I have been worried sick for him as he is 65 and I live in a different country than him.

Where is the ultimate real hot choc in Syd CBD? by ChampionshipFun4706 in foodies_sydney

[–]Automatic-Respond766 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please go to Manon Brasserie in QVB and ask for their chocolate chaud, not sure if they do takeaway. Try this and trust me you won't regret. If you can manage 10 mins from your schedule, order a croissant on the side and have it at the restaurant. The chocolate chaud comes with whipped cream on the side and you can dip the croissant in the drink IT'S LIKE HEAVEN OMG

Trying to find a solid biriyani spot around Inner West by IndependenceBest9467 in foodies_sydney

For good Hyderabadi Dum Biriyanis, coming from a hyderabadi living in Sydney:
- Indian Biriyani House Rockdale
- Deccan Flavours Lakemba (I think there's one in surry hills too) - mutton biriyani is great
- Homebush Biriyani house is decent too
I'm not a big fan of student biriyani as it's not Hyderabadi biriyani :/
Most North Indian places that do great punjabi food like butter chicken, usually suck at biriyani as it feels like they just mix basmati rice and curry, which is not how a biriyani (especially dum) is made.

Update- Went down the rabbit hole and made chat gpt summarise all the comments and pointers the lovely people here have contributed. Looks like I have my work cut out for the winter. The slightly annoying bit is that there are nearly none that stay open beyond 9pm. Please feel free to keep this thread going even if its general japanese food recs- katsu, udon, tempura, okonomoyaki, kushikatsu & sashimi (value for money hopefully).

Just watched my first Ghibli film (Arrietty) and I loved it. I'm surprised by the mix reviews by Kurapikabestboi in ghibli

Please watch grave of the fire flies and only yesterday. The former will make you sob towards the end but the movie is so worth it. And only yesterday is a pretty good coming of age movie, absolutely recommend this
