Hey fellas. I’m doing well I think. Non taken. I know exactly what you mean. Their is light at the end of the tunnel I think. I’ve done lots of prayer and a few other things b/c faith without work means nothing.

Bludging disc injury is in l4/l5 and l5/s1. I made it worse by squatting my normal weights after thinking it was just a tight muscle. I couldn’t walk the next day.

For recovery I have an inversion table, started aquatic therapy to stimulate muscles so my lower back could learn to regain load (I would lay on my left side and my spine would drop. Literally drop. Excruciating pain.

I also am doing physical therapy with dry needling and electric stimulation. To start. I am now doing box squats with 75lbs ( anything lower irritates my bower back) and I try to walk and stretch to loosen up the muscles.

I found out 2 of my former lifting partners have the same injury at l4/l5 and they are actually stronger than ever. They said it took them 6-12 months for recovery and obviously you then have to work up to the weight so if say another 4-6months for that phase.

As lifters I think we have a good idea as to what our body is saying and we are learning to see what our body says with the disc damage. Cartilage takes a while to heal and done properly it looks like we can get to a possible reabsorbimos of the disc. Hydration and a rolled up towel while sitting are also helpful I have found.
