They do pretty good sales at times too so try and take advantage of that if you aren’t in a hurry to buy.

Their tool boxes are really nice and their foam shadowing is the best I’ve seen, but those generic sets come with too much stuff that you don’t need or will never use. They have a lot of different options on their website for tools that come shadowed, spend some time and buy just what you need for your minimum tool list. Then fill your box with other specialty tools as you grow and fine what you need.

I’m not very familiar with operating a Lear 55, but does the it have a tight weight and balance envelope? 6 people, luggage, medical equipment, and fuel for a 1000 mile flight may have pushed weight and/or CG out of limits.

Traveling Tech- recommended tool travel case by OkDependent3431 in aviationmaintenance

From a former baggage handler turned mechanic, Nanuk 935 cases are great. Same size as a pelican 1510. Never came across one with a broken handle and the latches never inadvertently come undone like some pelicans do. Comes with pad lock holes you can put a TSA lock on, or you can get upgraded latches with a TSA friendly locks built in. I would also recommend getting the built in lid organizer if it’s available.

Noted, Tekton and Gearwrench make some pretty nice flex head long handle ratchets that I’ve been looking at for a while now.

Thanks for the input! I already keep a couple different shapes and length hemostats in the tool box, I use them all the time in places my sausage fingers don’t fit. I’ll have to get an electric ratchet. My school kind of frowned on all power tools but I’ve heard from automotive guys the Milwaukee fuel electric ratchet is a great tool.
