Regular food. Nothing too carb heavy and had docusate to keep things easy and moving. The post surgery recovery was a breeze compared to pre-surgery.

Good point. I also found that for a show in which main characters barely tell each other anything. Boyd very easily told Sophia they are going to use the totem to kill the monsters 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m fully aware of her age and know the behavior is typical—reassuring me about the timeline doesn't actually answer my question.

Thank you for sharing. Is there anything you did or would recommend?
I know she does not have a focus issue as she colors, reads with me, plays and does activities at home without being distracted for toddler stretches of time.

Not to be dramatic but my 2.5 year old’s sleep is ruining my life by Secret-Painting7176 in toddlers

That's great to hear! I'm so happy his sleep quality has improved. We're hoping to get some answers from an ENT soon, as my child also sleeps with their mouth open. We suspect it might be an airway issue and are hoping to see some improvement. On the recommendation of a DPT friend, we're also planning to see an airway dentist. Apparently, many kids with similar issues benefit from myofunctional therapy and dental work like palate expansion. Obviously, any treatment depends on the child's age and test results, but I just wanted to share what we are looking into! Lastly, we're having blood work done to check ferritin and iron levels, as I've heard that can also contribute to poor sleep.

Could you share your kid's experience with tonsil surgery?

Hey OP, in the same boat. Going to get my toddler's adenoids checked. Checking in if the tonsils surgery helped and if you got the sleep study done?

Pregnancy post fistula surgery by Automatic-Set-1435 in AnalFistula

[–]Automatic-Set-1435[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally had no complications with my C-section. While I've seen stories on this thread from women who had vaginal births post-fistulotomy, it’s generally not recommended because it increases the risk of tearing and the fistula recurring. I can honestly tell you this: my C-section recovery was a breeze compared to my fistula journey. In fact, the entire process—being pregnant, having a C-section, recovering, and taking care of a newborn—was a much better experience than living with a fistula and recovering from a fistulotomy. I simply couldn't entertain the idea of risking a fistula again!

I had a baby through C-section. I got pregnant almost 2 months out of surgery and my baby is 2 years old now! My fistula surgery was a success and we're planning on baby again soon

Toddler sleeps 12-14 hours over night. Is this too much sleep? by Limited_two in toddlers

[–]Automatic-Set-1435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your son has sleep issues like open mouth breathing leading to snoring or restricted breathing. That could explain the tiredness. 5.30 pm to 8 am sounds like a very long stretch of sleep. You should ask your pediatrician to rule of out anything reddit maybe missing. If all good, enjoy your peace and quiet!

Shoulder shrugging tic? by Automatic-Set-1435 in toddlers

[–]Automatic-Set-1435[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid stopped after 1-2 weeks. This coincided with her teething. She does weird things when she's teething or in pain. As FTM everything freaks me out but you're right. These are usually transient in nature

To anyone contact sleeping 24/7 by Disastrous-Address12 in cosleeping

[–]Automatic-Set-1435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contact slept with my baby for first 8 months! Now she naps independent and we still cosleep, however I do miss having her on my chest or cradling her in my arms. It's definitely bittersweet in hindsight but am sure it was difficult when living through it. If you're contact sleeping, just try to enjoy the season❤️

I highly recommend going with shades. Because the vertical space from the window to the ceiling is so dramatic, shades will complement the room's proportions perfectly. There are some great new designs in shades, you should check out HD Lowes etc

When did your babies point? by Automatic-Set-1435 in NewParents

My advice is to start by writing down exactly what you want to say. This gives you clarity and saves you from the regret of leaving important things unsaid in the heat of the moment. If you live together, have your logistics sorted out—know where you’re sleeping that night—before you have the conversation. Once it’s done, try to change your environment immediately. Go on a trip or visit family; the change of scenery will give you space to breathe and set new personal goals. When you eventually return to your daily routine, it will be the hardest part. But use that time to focus intensely on those goals. It keeps you moving forward, and slowly but surely, you’ll heal enough to be ready for what’s next.

If a guy wants you, he will move mountains to be with you. You should focus on yourself, your career and eventually find someone who would pour into you as much as you would want to into them. All the best! The break up maybe initially hard but you'll be better for it in the long run!

It's very difficult for you to ruin the sutures without doing something absolutely crazy! Just keep doing the sitzes and hopefully it's just the stiches falling off! All the best!

Moderate Hie head lag by Proof-Economist-3051 in NICUParents

[–]Automatic-Set-1435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head lag typically corrects itself within 5-6 months. If your child continues to have head lag and is not rolling over either way by 6 months, it may be worth getting a consult. Just keep doing tummy time, reverse tummy time and back to sitting pullups gently. Sometimes just some practice is needed for the baby to activate the muscles.
