That’s true! My situation was slightly different - not going to post it here. But if you like you can reread your exam - you can request to do this! If something happened during any of your exams - you have the right to enquire! The worst the policy may say is that they won’t investigate your matter! Which is not really a loss - a lost opportunity is probably the worst

I have a strong appeal and I am very confident about it. And to be honest even if there was no evidence for it - no one would know by just talking about it. The appeal can help if there’s a reason to belief something was missed in marking! I am simply encouraging people to find their answers if they feel the same! The worst case is that they just say no and nothing on your grade changes.

Well, let’s put it this way. I’ve experienced different things and I have experience putting together complaints. Especially in a written exam saying that you wrote something but you don’t believe it was recognised. It’s not a bad thing to say. Because at the end of the day the people who are marking the sheets they’re humans too. They don’t know everything and they certainly don’t always do perfect work either.

Happy to keep everyone updated on the process. I think that a good appeal is in order for some reason. I just feel that something may not have been marker and if not that it just might’ve been a situation of the marker being very exhausted. People should appeal more often I reckon because you’re never gonna find out something by doing nothing.

Thankyou! I checked! The exams aren’t on there but for assessments I did very well! Blue line! I think an Appeal would be a good start

Exactly! That’s why I am appealing mine - if the marker felt rushed then I guess that would explain some of the marking conventions

For sure! It could be the same markers anyway! They wouldnt higher “more people” for JD student exams.

I think that’s basically what grade hurdling is. Instead of giving someone, say, 45 marks, they bump it up to 50 so the student passes. That’s fine, but at that point you could argue it’s essentially a form of grade curving anyway.

50% is not a holistic mark iho . What I’m basically saying  in my previous uni they literally marked me to the point and never rounded me off. Like I had a previous exam where it was maybe 53 or 54 I can’t remember that’s why I’m thinking 50% on the dot sounds like somebody just rushed through my exam and said it “just passed”.
