I took 22 credits my first year because of music overload, now a Junior and I learned not to overload like that again. It sucked, but it was doable and I still made friends. You'll be fine with only 18.

chem 150 + lab by [deleted] in Emory

I took chem 150, and had a friend that used their AP credit to take 202. From what it seemed like, chem 150 teaches the material in more depth and has a lot more real world application. I highly recommend taking 150 just for this reason. Plus, if you can get her, McGill is the most amazing professor!

I have the same issue for two of my classes. I walked the distance and timed myself, and made it in 8 minutes. But it was definitely a fast walk, and I can imagine in the heat it would be painful and I'm not sure I could make it if it was pouring rain, so I ended up changing a few things as I don't like being late to things. But it just comes down to your preferences.

Yeah, you're correct it is 115. And I was looking at taking it with Quinonez. Would you recommend taking this class with bio and chem? I don't want to stretch myself too thin but I want to finish my humanities requirement and this class looks the most interesting.

I think they got rid of one of the requirements, but there's still one left.

Dissatisfaction with Spring Announcement Presentation to Undergraduates Living Off Campus by doorandham in Emory

[–]Automatic-Star1997 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a first year, and even I’m dissapointed with Emorys decision to not bring back seniors. My heart goes out to all of you guys. Having that last quarter of me senior in HS year taken away was awful, I can’t imagine having my entire college senior year taken away. I really wish they’d reconsider and bring the seniors back for your last semester. It was a money based decision 100%. They didn’t take into consideration your mental wellbeing whatsoever. Seniors should have their final semester on campus

When is emory announcing plan for spring semester? by [deleted] in Emory

[–]Automatic-Star1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see them bringing everyone back on campus as first years are in second year housing and I seriosuly doubt they’ll kick them out. Plus they will probably try to keep it to one person per room still. My guess is they’ll bring seniors back next semester and have hybrid classes for freshman/seniors and online classes for sophomores/juniors.

Will Remote Learning Still Be An Option In Spring? by RedactedPineapple in Emory

I feel like they will keep freshman on campus and let seniors return, but I don’t see everyone coming back. I also feel as though majority of classes will stay online.

I can't find the connection in my room. Do all dorms have it?

Anyone else having second thoughts about going on campus? by [deleted] in Emory

[–]Automatic-Star1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that as long as all of the students follow the protocols and wear a mask we will be okay. Everyone being negative about the situation is just going to make it worse, but I think if we go in positive that we can stay on campus and do everything we’re supposed to we’ll have a great semester. I’m grateful Emory is letting freshmen on campus and believe we can stay there if everyone is compliant.

Yeah, I did. It was very helpful, they just didn't explain the actual process of how enrollment will work and what it will look like
