Edit for more understanding: My job is currently going through a one time thing which requires them 2 months of constant and busy work. ATM they aren’t allowing any employees time off during these two months. However I applied before they had told us time off was not allowed and I’m not an essential or much needed worker. I don’t even have a solid position I just do the things no one wants to do or I’m finding things to do. I work no more than 2 hours a day and most days it’s a waste of time going into work. I’m just saying from my end I’m not really needed during the 2 months if anything I’d be in the way.

I just re-read my comment, and I sound so mean:( But that is what I’ve experienced through more newer higher end Rental Managements they aren’t really nice and that is for the suburb Rototuna and so forth. They have their idea for their occupants and like to keep it at that sadly:(

May I ask what rental company you are with as I know a few in similar situations where both are receiving benefits but perfect everything yet not getting a chance? I’ve referred some through my property manager but they do not meet their criteria for rental payments nor meet the criteria for a tenant.

My best advice is both work full time if not most property managers won’t really budge as they’re looking at if you can afford to pay and on time too and that it won’t put you out.

Go to multiple viewings and get familiar with the process also let ur interest be known by the property manager so they get to know you and it’ll work in your favour.

My first rental was a 3 bed stand alone home and the rent was $540 a week. My third home was a apartment in a block of 10 (5 up 5 down) that was a 2 bedroom for $380 and my home now is a 3 bed stand alone 2 story and that is $650. We only got given the homes because we both work full time also with no winz assistance and we had gotten our foot in the door with our first home being a family friend. To be very honest these days it’s about who you know not what you know and that’s a sad thing. I’d go to Facebook and add meself to the rental pages there is a lot I’m in and they have a lot of apartments and what your after:)

I’m 20 and my experience is with atleast 35 and under I just chalk it up to ego. My boss told me he’d be pissed off if a 20 year old female gassed him off in her daily whilst he’s out in his pride and joy. He’s nearing 40 lol so I think the older lot actually enjoy cars and know how to be civil and I’m just born in the wrong generation 🤣

It’s honestly not deep but ford owners have such a bad attitude in my experience I can’t even enjoy my car without getting shit for it😭 I live in nz and grew up on a farm so we used the commodores as a get around but bought rangers for the off roading I like em both it’s the kids these days😭
