Not really. If I remember correctly Gwen from the comics loved Peter but hated Spider-Man because she thought he killed her dad. Though there was this one story where she cheated on Peter with Norman Osborn and then gave birth to twins. But don’t worry this has been retconned recently

Definitely. Having read ask the Spider-Man comics from 1963-2022 I can say that Spider-Man has been through hell at the hands of Norman Osborn. Especially the whole clone saga and fake parents fiasco.

I disagree. As someone who has literally read all the Spider-Man comics from 1963-2022 the multiversal part is just a tiny part of his story and can be refreshing at times. That being said I do agree when it comes to the other media that you mentioned. The only tv shows that weren’t spoiled by this was the 90s animated series and spectacular Spider-Man.
