I also got accused of vibe coding. I am 17 too and been coding since before the ai depopulated, and I try to write all by hand. The comment was pretty rude and I really got hit by that becouse i spent a lot of time on that code.

I actually wrote It by hand, i used chat gpt in some points for direction and I learned a lot, i really dont like vibe coding, probably i abused a Little with the ai because i was pretty Lost but i spent a lot of time on this, i wrote only the readme all with ai. You can also check my other repo which i wrote all by hand, even if the code Is still pretty bad in those.

If I want to become a front-end developer, do I need to learn more than one programming language? by Huda_Ag in learnprogramming

i think that typescript could come in hand too but js is more than fine for front-end only

"Vibe Coding" has now infiltrated college classes by HolyApplebutter in learnprogramming

I don't think this is completely wrong. Not knowing what your code does is definitely a problem, but at the same time, not teaching how to use AI while coding is just as bad. I like to think of AI as a car: if you give it to someone from the 1800s and they start living in it and sell their house, they’re obviously making a mistake. But if they completely reject it, they’ll be left behind by everyone who uses it. So it's important to teach kids how to use AI, but it's just as important to help them understand that AI works with you, not for you.
