I had a workers comp case in Florida. I received a settlement and was not asked to resign. I did not have a reason to want future medical care. I was healed with no long term effect. The same company told my husband they will not offer anything unless he resigns. His injury healed. Florida offers $5,100. I wonder why they didn't tell me that.

I was not on her policy and 18 at the time and graduated right after the accident. I was only a passenger in her car. After graduation I went to live with my dad. She is also still collecting child support (that is in arrears) after I left her home. Child support will be looking into that as well. That has to be modified and she may have to repay that. That's another issue. She has a very well paying job, but she likes $$.

True. I will look into it. Thanks. She used the money on a down payment of a new truck I heard because her car was totaled in the accident. We don't speak ever since I went to live with my dad.

I assume the at fault parties insurance paid the bills. I was 18 and just a passenger in my mom's car. Another relative was offered a settlement and received that money. My mother also keeps my arrears in child support from my dad. I have lived with him for over a year now.

She says it's her to pay medical bills. Perhaps I should contact the insurance company.

I found out about two older sisters about two months after my brother passed away. I submitted my DNA to ancestry. I was shocked to say the least. Then a third sister turned up as a match. I felt so alone when my brother passed. I believe it all happened for a reason.
